This got hit with a major delay right around when they thought they were getting the vinyl in. Apparently the plant just up and closed so they had to go through the entire process again with a new plant.

There isn't a label running that doesn't occasionally have a delay on a pre order, it's just part of the game. Yea a few labels just wait to have the albums in hand before they put them up, but that's not realistic for them all. If you don't want your order to be delayed just wait until the records are in hand. If you care about variants then you just have to get used to this stuff. Download the album and listen to that until you get it.

As someone that orders from them a ton, I can tell you that isn't true. I typically get stuff on time or early. Occasionally there is a delay and they usually do a good job at letting you know if it's gonna be really far off from the projected date.

Yea unfortunately for you "soon" is not a definite time frame. Just hang tight. You'll get your order and I'm sure you will be pleased.

Eh, it is what it is. The music isn't something I would listen to regularly. I mostly bought this to support a guy I've known for over a decade that has always been a standup dude.

I'll wait and see if the bundle gets broken up. Also the youtube video is down. Wasn't this on Rise's official channel?

Got this in yesterday. They included a black copy as well with a letter explaining that some of the tarot editions don't sound perfect so they included a black copy with all of them. Pretty cool move.

Seems like a fine idea to me. Existing fans of either band will likely pick it up and maybe find a new band they like. If not they got the material they wanted all the same. It's a little more expensive for the fan to buy a 12" over a 7", but a lot of the time I prefer a single sided 12" over a 7" anyway. Better continuity in the 3-5 songs when you don't have to flip half way through.

To support a band and label I appreciate.

I'm in this boat as well. I rarely read my SD newsletters. Somebody hit me with a link please! I was able to snag a few items from them last year that my local shop didn't order.

GSOI is pretty terrible, to the point that when I heard it 6 years ago I figured I would never listen to another TWY song again. Glad I did. That being said, I would buy it if it got pressed. But if anything that a band doesn't want to get pressed were to be pressed, I would vote for B&C IJWTBP.

I must've missed where this info came from, but I would assume it's some sort of early press like the tour version of the Vinnie Caruana solo EP. He's had that version (black, blank labels, no bside etching) for quite some time and RFC is just now getting the official release versions in now.

I'm pretty confused... how was it different than normal? Tweets and touts mentioned all through the broadcast just like always.
