If anyone orders this from UO, it will come in a bag. Not the RSD kind of bag, but a mailer bag.

I ordered MBV when it was on clearance a month or so ago and got it in a normal mailer.

The specks are completely normal with colored vinyl. Just some black got mixed in with the gold/bronze. You'll never get them out. Don't try. It won't effect play. A couple of mine in the set have them too. No biggie.

No, its not like that unfortunately. It's something that should not be there. It's hard to explain. I'll try and get some pictures later.

same here. there also seems to be a lot of specks of black and brown all over my copy and I thought it was dirt at first. I wonder if that's affecting the sound quality in any way

Actually took a closer look and realized that there is a series of very tiny blemishes on the record. They didn't come off when I cleaned them, but they don't exactly look like scratches. Gonna have a friend deep clean it and see if they come off. If they don't, I guess I'll have to take it up with 4AD. Pray for me haha

Upside down mountain is totally different. Lyrically its probably better, but it's not like self titled where you instantly love every song, you have to listen to it a few times to really appreciate the genius of the album as a whole.

I think the price of it is just keeping me away.

Now Chris has no excuse not to buy this! Grabbed it from Saddle Creek a couple years back. This is one of my favorite albums man. It's so amazing.

Although, I've yet to listen to Upside Down Mountain. Maybe I should just look at that thread, but how does it compare?

Got my copy in from Rough Trade today. Black vinyl. Shipped in the standard super thin mailers that all records from England seem to come in and the corners got pretty dinged up like all records that come in super thin mailers from England always do. Can we ship some pallets of proper mailers over to London? Every time, London. Every time.

It sucks that so many people seem to have bad luck with these. I generally get my records that come in these in better condition than ones that get shipped domestically. I know I'm in the minority here.
