  1. The Arkham bundle would be the better value. I don't think you'd miss out on anything by not playing the first two, but you should still check them both out at some point.

This was my main reasoning, but I'm also very impatient. I'll also probably just buy ESO and play that before I even get to Batman. I'm thinking I'm just gonna go pick up the system after dinner.

  2. Selling my Graveface Record Club variants for the recent Whirr records, Distressor EP if anyone cares, and this banner I have. Just send some offers, or if you wanna buy everything or at least a few, we can work something out!

Also have some other Graveface stuff I don't quite like from my most recent club subscription if anyone is interested.

Too lazy to take my own picture right now, but if you honestly don't believe that I own this I can send a picture.

  3. I'm so pissed I wasted money ordering this cd....I so want to try to understand his new direction, but I just can't fucking do it! He can still make good melodies and great music, but this whole journal entry shit is tired and is just lazy and a sad excuse for effort. I want beautiful metaphors again, not daily ramblings about how your life is the same as mine except you go here, here, or there and know this or that famous person. And for fuck sakes, stop over using the vulgarity...he sounds like a tired 90's rapper.

    Send me your cd

  4. Saw them at bledfest and they played an abridged version of this set. They absolutely killed it and the new songs are just as visceral as the jar stuff live.

Also rozwell kid and diamond youth both put on phenomenal shows. That new diamond youth record really vibes after seeing them live

I got to the show just as DY was starting. It was my first time hearing them and I was not at all impressed, but dammit Superheaven was worth every minute of it.

  5. Saw these guys rock the house on Friday in Chicago. Got an LP signed because this album is absolutely amazing and they are one of my all time favorite bands. I also took down the setlist if anyone is interested. It was perfect.

If you're on the fence about seeing them on this tour, DO IT! Not only was it amazing, but this is their first headlining tour, so make it big!

  6. OK. I think I may be able to answer my own question.

What has mainly drawn me in to shoegaze & dreampop and even some noisepop, is the emotional weight created by the music itself. It's the mix of that wall of sound as it's always mentioned but its ability to feel open and expansive and a place you can feel yourself floating in. It's like a tidal wave of sound that just drowns you in and you can get happily lost in. And to me, this type of music...well, some bands more specifically, feels as though it's the auditory expression of all the feelings & emotions that I have swirling in my head and heart at any given time.

Ever since I got hooked on the music in its first wave of early 90's...it's been an emotional trip. I will always be that hardcore punk metalhead kid, but there's something about shoegaze/dreampop that hits me harder in the heart than anything else.

This is pretty much how I feel about it as well, but what I really find to be the best part, for me, about this sort of music in particular is the way that some bands can really make me dig deep and that is awesome, but not singular to this genre. What really gets me is that I can get so lost in the sound and the noise alone that its like I'm in my own world where nothing else matters, and I can just close my eyes and get lost in a world that is being built as the album goes on.

I hope that makes sense to at least someone. I also do not do drugs or drink at all hahaha
