  1. Dropped out after a few years. Getting two IT jobs this fall paying over $30/hour combined, and still leaving me time to work on DF. Fuck college.
  2. God damnit, I'm listening to the new Caspian record now and it's fucking incredible. My favorite material of theirs so far.
  3. Just got the master of the songs from The Fake Boys yesterday, Arms Aloft should be finishing up their 2 new songs this week and then we can get started on all that stuff.
  4. So I announced a few months ago or whatever that I would be doing a collection of two older CDEPs from The Fake Boys.. well it turns out I'll now be releasing a brand new full length LP instead! I just got the jams today and they are fucking GREAT. More news on this in the next coming weeks, but it'll probably be out within the next couple months or so. Expect lots of cool preorder goodies. You can listen to 4 of the 10 new tracks on the LP on their MySpace - "Sometimes I Write Songs All The Time", "Be Free", "This Is Where Our Songs Live", and "Crush". http://www.myspace.com/thefakeboys http://www.myspace.com/thefakeboys http://www.myspace.com/thefakeboys
  5. Win a test press of this record over at Dead Format: http://www.deadformat.net/topic.php?id=17139
  6. Fake Boys songs are done, Arms Aloft will finish recording their 2 new songs after we get back from their 2 week tour in early June. The Fake Boys side will feature 2 of their songs off the Pop Punk is Dead CDEP (2 songs never featured on vinyl before).. then I'll be putting out their new LP this fall as well.
  7. I'm fairly sure I never said that.. I probably was just like "2nd press? Yeah right! Who the fuck is going to buy 350 copies of this... "
  8. Records are getting here Friday, only a few more days left for coozie preorders!
  9. Check the questions I asked in the thread you posted in on DF.
  10. uhhhhhhhh yeah email me [email protected], im kinda getting a little too high right now and dont have a clue who you are hahaha and your signature is freaking me the fuck out dude

  12. http://store.deadformat.net/artist/arms-aloft http://store.deadformat.net/artist/arms-aloft http://store.deadformat.net/artist/arms-aloft I'm really excited to be able to announce preorders for the 2nd pressing of this 7". We sold out of the first press in roughly 6 months and this time we're doing 100 more hand numbered copies on black vinyl with blue silkscreened covers. We also have an awesome can coozie featuring artwork reminiscent of some beer that you may or may not have seen before. Order the record and the coozie together and save some big dollars. Note: The coozies probably won't be available online after next week.. only on tour from the band. The records are almost done and I should have everything in my possession next week. BUT we are leaving for tour on the 18th and I doubt I'll be able to get stuff sent out by then. So I will do it immediately when I return from tour the first week of June. And FINALLY, if you haven't even heard any of this record yet (*cough* jerk *cough*), be sure to check out the Dead Format Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/deadformat), Arms Aloft MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/armsaloftforever) or read below for a few nice things that people have said about the record. Thanks! "Arms Aloft’s Comfort At Any Cost ep is the perfect recipe for punk rock fun: Loud, crunchy guitars; neck-break speed drumming, smart-mouthed vocals; sing-alongs; fun times. 8 out of 10." -Juan Diniz (mammothpress.com) "ARMS ALOFT plays some nearly perfectly executed catchy punk that sounds so Midwestern it's almost cliche. just imagine any of your favorite Midwest bands; I won't even bother picking one to associate with these guys, as they will soon be a band to whom others will be compared as an influence. Go crack an Old Style and drink it by yourself while listening to ARMS ALOFT to get the full experience." -Brian Dooley (Maxiumum Rock & Roll) "The band bottles up so much angst and aggression in their songs and then unleash it with such poise and precision. Arms Aloft know how to write big, catchy and powerful punk rock tunes that leave the listener begging for more." - Will Miller (soundaslanguage.com)
  13. These came out sometime last year. Here's a direct quote from the dude at Very Distro: "Don't know if anyone cares, but I whipped some of these up, since I literally fell over a box running around today and realized what these were. If you order one, thanks! http://www.verydistro.com/moreinfo.aspx?id=24106 In this new age of technology, and impatience. I decided to make up some of these and see how they do. Here are the last copies (that I can find for now) of the original COALESCE "Give Them Rope She Said" LP on Edison Records. Packaged along with these LP's you will get a poster, and "Give Them Rope She Said v.2" CD repress. In all, that's an original COALESCE LP+CD+Poster for 11.98. There are only 30 of these. If you're new to COALESCE, read this: The first word that comes to mind when someone mentions Coalesce is "brutal". No one band has captured the pure crushing power, chaos, and skillful musicianship like Coalesce has. Their legacy has left behind a trail of destroyed equipment, torn vocal chords, and an uncompromising pursuit to achieve true legendary status. Their legendary debut full-length, now back in print for the first time in nearly 4 years. Remastered and complete new artwork - the way it was truly meant to be realized. "
  14. Probably not, Virgil has already renewed the domain after I've asked him a couple times about buying it so it's not really too important anymore. And thanks so much to everyone who's chosen DF over other sites. I'm doing my best to constantly make improvements and I always welcome feedback, positive or negative.
  15. FYI I just made a pretty big change to the "Update Tradelist" page... http://www.deadformat.net/topic.php?id=16003
  16. Yeah, sorry about the downtime but there's not anything I can do about it. It will hopefully be back online in an hour or so.
  17. Pressing info will be back up within a few days, it will be a new wiki-style system where you won't need admin approval to get things approved anymore.
