  1. Can't say I really remember. It was warped on the outer edge, the inside played fine. So only the first few tracks were effected. It is a BLUE copy. I just remember the warp being so high that it jumped the tonearm and nearly ruined a brand new Denon DL103R cartridge. Not taking the chance I'll do harm to my RP3. So gunshy after that incident, I slipped it in a sleeve and since it has just sat on a shelf collecting dust. Bummer.
  2. Thanks for the lesson. I bought a copy of Everclear's So Much For The Afterglow a couple years back that was warped I'll try this out and with some hope this record will finally be listenable again, although I will try it out on a cheap record first!
  3. Some I can think of offhand: Third Eye Blind - S/T and Blue Hootie & The Blowfish - Cracked Rear View Finch - WIITB Alanis Morisette - Jagged Litle Pill Jacks Mannequin - Everything In Transit
  4. Thanks. Paid the same used. So the Pumpkins set at less than $40 seems like a steal.
  5. Whatver works. Considering the elaboration of the package, $38 seems pretty reasonable. Just for a price comparo, anyone know how much the Foo Fighters "In your Honor" 4xLP box set was new? I bought it second hand not long ago. When it came out I was still a broke college student and collected vinyl very modestly, so this wasn't really on my radar back then.
  6. Same $38 with express shipping. Sold. Worst case scenario US Amazon lowers it and I cancel the CA order.
  7. That's what I'm getting at. If they want to be dicks, fine. Not a lot can be done about that. The band is probably realizing by now they are in way over their heads. If they knew what they were doing, they would have got it done years ago. If they allowed an independent publisher to license it, we'd all have it by now. And done right.
  8. Let professional musicians create music, let professional music publishers publish music. Know your strentghs and stick to em. If they want to botch this release, let em.
  9. Where did you preorder from? Are you guaranteed a copy? If I can get 'em before Christmas without having to wait out in the cold, I'm in.
  10. To clarify, yea the RSD's are numbered, gatefolds, 180g. /3000 There's no word at all on what the releases will be AFTER RSD. I am only speculating. If the RSD's were numbered and limited, what would be the point of numbering the widely available copies released after Dec 31st? I mean they could, but at that stage I don't see why they would bother. And yea, if you count the previous releases, Monuments, and the various rare-as-hell singles floating around out there, a lot of the Incubus catalog is our there in some capacity.... ($$$$$$+++++)
  11. Just talked to my local record shop. The Incubus releases are "windowed." In other words, small shops have the exclusive for that windowed time, they said ~3 months is typical. It looks like the Incubus releases are until Dec, 31st. Best guess is that they will be widely available (Amazon, et. al) after that. Not numbered, but as long as they don't change any of the specs (180g, gatefold), I'm tempted to skip the rush and hold out another month.
  12. $40! I got a original of this earlier in the year for less than 30, shipping included from the UK.
  13. They have some big shoes to fill. The original press sounds outstanding. Good to know there will be a readily available version out there for a decent price tho. For $25 it better be a good pressing.
  14. Not the album version, but for anyone looking for the live album that came out a bit ago at a steal of a price, there's good deal on Amazon right now. Amazon warehouse deals, used "like new" for $13.45 and prime eligable. Looks like they had two, I grabbed one, but may have more...? http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B007KXTF4M/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used
  15. So everything from the 90's just tripled in price in the last year? This is being repressed in a month! Sheesh!
  16. When did Everclear records get so popular? I picked up Afterglow like a year ago for ~35ish, shold have got Sparkle back then too. Damn. http://www.ebay.com/itm/EVERCLEAR-Sparkle-Fade-LP-PROMO-7-Foo-Fighters-Green-Day-Social-Distortion-/271074639207?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item3f1d4ebd67&nma=true&si=OVv5WaVdejLNVUBWp0dNta7vsGM%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  17. I would kill to have a properly pressed copy of Wallflowers "Bringing Down The Horse"
  18. AMAZON: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008U85TV4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
  19. For a minute here I thought it was getting repressed too I have OG presses of S/T and Blue, that I paid out the a$$ for quite a while ago, but seem like 'deals' now. They'll do for now, but these albums desperately need a high-quality press, ala Smashing Pumpkins reissues. (Thick gatefolds, 180...) TEB has been one of my favorite bands for years. Too bad in a lot of people's eyes they get lumped in with a lor of other flavor of the moment pop-alternative bands that were all to prevelant in the 90's. TEB is definitely in their own league, and have lasted throught the years for a reason. Their live shows are the real deal!!
