PO: Ryan Adams - Self-Titled 9/9/14
The Doctor replied to timbrh2001's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Is it just me or does this "up for a minute or two, then gets pulled" shit happen fairly frequently with his stuff? He needs to get some better web/product people. -
PO: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Reissues

Man, those US prices are ridiculous! Should I wait for a US price drop, or order these from the UK? Any advice would be appreciated. Very much looking forward to this! -

As someone who is involved the production of vinyl releases I can understand how you'd take offense to that, but I would only change my statement to say ok maybe not that they don't care, but it is a little lazy. I mean, look at that cover, it's horrible. It was horrible when they used it for the CD the first time around. A screen cap from the movie would even be better. Just a screen cap of the quik stop or something. Superimpose the logo over the screen cap. With blu-rays around capable of taking high quality screen caps, even that could be decent as jacket art. But some labels don't even bother doing anything to the art, even going as easy as just blowing up a CD booklet (which it seems like Music On Vinyl does sometimes) which looks kinda bad. I just feel like if you're going to bother to release something, put a little extra effort into it and it will show in the final product and entice customers--especially if you have the guts to charge as much as some do for these soundtracks, like T2, Garden State and others that have had crazy inflated prices. I may not be an artist, but hell, I could do what I described above. Some label should hire me...hehe.

B/c that was the exact cover for the CD soundtrack. But I agree, they could have been a little creative ala Mondo, etc with a unique cover. But big labels seldom care that much.

Hopefully it goes up on Amazon for cheaper....

Nice! The vinyl looks really awesome and swirly. I wonder if this is the same as what's up for pre-order on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Seeds-TV-Radio/dp/B00N5NDA6A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1409667182 -

One thing I noticed in the Noisey interview is that he said "Friday the 13th scores." Plural. That has me excited.... -

Does anyone have the blu-ray box set? I have the DVD boxset and never upgraded because the general consensus I heard was that it was overpriced and didn't offer enough incentive (ie the uncut international versions of the films) to make it worthwhile if you already owned them in some form. -

Absolutely love the movie series! Favorites: 1-4, 6 Ok: 7, Freddy v. Jason, Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X Shit: 5, 8, Remake Way back when they first came out on DVD my friends & I had a marathon in the video editing lab at our university where people were welcome to stop in and watch some. On the board we had score card that counted up kills, boob shots, and defenestration (people being thrown out a window) for each movie. It was so much fun! -

Super excited about the Friday the 13th record. But I've never bought from WaxWorks so I have a couple of questions for you guys: 1. Is there a way to set up a new account prior to my first purchase? I haven't found a way...but I know already having an account will take far less time, if it's anything like a Mondo sale. 2. Around what time do these usually go on sale? Is the onsale announced on twitter like Mondo does? Thanks for any and all help. -
