My ebay feed is a downright disaster due to Porcupine Tree scalper mania right now :

Do I have any chance of ever finding copies of these for decent prices? Shipping to the US is already rough on these without paying scalper prices. I feel like these were fairly large pressings, and demand can't be that huge, so I'm hoping once the initial frenzy dies down prices will start falling...

hey! i will get these for you if you want? theyre £20 each (i think) and postage will be about £14. pm me.

  2. you just have to accept that current fall out boy are drastically different to the fall out boy we all grew up with, and accept and enjoy it for what it is. they're a straight up pop band now, if pop isn't your thing then you're probably not gonna like it. having said that, in my opinion this song is utter dog shit, no redeemable qualities whatsoever. the rest of the album will be much better though.

Shipping from England, when I've bought Arsenal gear, has been over $30.

Kits in England cost much less than they do  here, but they charge us for the shipping price. I think my last Arsenal shirt saved me $5 and cost me 3 weeks having it shipped from London rather than the Arsenal USA store.

It seems like over seas shipping should be a lot cheaper by now, but here we are.

that sounds like a case of that individual store charging you more than cost. ive shipped many times to the USA and standard international shipping for 1 lp costs £7-£8 (although its just gone up i believe) with royal mail (5-7 days delivery aim) and even less with other providers. i would have thought 1 football shirt, being light and maybe in a different parcel category would be cheaper. they were probably trying to encourage you to buy from the USA store. regardless, from my experience shipping from the UK to the US is much cheaper than from the US to the UK

Just picked up The Beatles - Abbey Road for £9.99.

It is part of a new magazine subscription to collect all of The Beatles albums. The first issue is Abbey Road and is £9.99.

You should be able to find it in supermarkets / newagents.

picked this up yesterday. i was sceptical at first just because i thought it would be shitty quality but im really impressed, its a nice package. the triple albums are great value, aswell as 1 which is usually around £30. can you buy each issue as individually as opposed to subscribing?

Annoyingly, they can apparently  ship to the UK for only $13 for a vinyl album. I recently checked on an item I was kind of  interested in (The PVRIS White Noise variant),  but it hardly seems worth the risk if it's just going to be stuffed into a flimsy mailer , plus the £/$ exchange rate doesn't look as if it's likely to improve anytime soon.

I was  wondering however if their discount codes work with international orders.

Everything I get actually comes in a box, but there's too much room inside so the records bounce into the edges. It could all be fixed with a bit of cello tape or a cardboard mailer to make it more snug.

Everythings going against UK buyers at the moment, rising shipping costs, shitty exchange rate and the inevitable customs fees (£18 for my latest order of 3 records from Newbury, and you'll always get a customs fee from Newbury). You've just got to factor it into your budget and decide if it's worth it. In my experience if you bought 1 thing from Newbury with shipping/customs it would come to around £40. Maybe us UK folks should organise some kind of bulk buy and divide the fees? And as far as I know discount codes do work with international orders.

I've basically given up on buying records for the moment as the prices are just silly now (also I have a serious problem with buying too many guitar pedals), so this thread is keeping me going. Great work everyone, the last few finds have been brilliant.

im in the same boat, its getting too much. i can only justify buying new if theres some kind of deal or promotion on.
