Always excited for new Totland.
Glad I caught this when I did. Ordered from ANOST.

I’m about 2 minutes in and digging it. Thanks for the heads up. Reminds me of the second Everyone Eveywhere record, which is a personal high water mark. Maaaaaaan do I miss that band. I haven’t seen any news of such, but after 7 years without a peep, I have to assume they’re dead. Booooo
They like to tease/troll on Twitter but yeah Everyone Everywhere 2012 is basically the defining record of that time period for me.

I've been dying for a studio version of Not for so long. I was super disappointed it didn't show up on UFOF though I understood why it didn't after I heard the album.
-
Picked this up almost exactly a year ago. Such a good album. I'm surprised at how under the radar this pressing went.

Got my splatter last week. Sounds great, looks cool.

OPN, Sakamoto, Sandy and Lexapro are some of my fav things so I am very very in.

Some updates about the band/Evan: https://pitchfork.com/features/article/reckoning-with-pinegrove
Apparently the new LP comes out on the 28th of September?

If they literally just pressed the leaked demos as they were mastered (or unmastered) I'd buy it in an instant.

I wouldn’t buy a rare record that didn’t play well, but I’ve bought old jazz/classical records with typical holes punched and corners cut (aka 80s dollar bin rex) for a hell of a lot less than they’d go for on Discogs.

Damn I’m super bummed I missed the test press/screen prints. This is one of my all time favourite albums but idk if I need another standard press of it.

I think the only absurd thing here is $33 for a 7"
Which you paid... And you have no idea what percentage of that was "handling". I'm not saying it isn't a dick move to promise to refund shipping and then not but it's also completely a good-will move for them to do so and I sincerely doubt Paypal is going to side with you just because you -think- you overpaid on shipping fees.
Anyway I finally just got my Athletics shipping notification so I'm happy.

You mean the label that has had our money for nearly 6 months and isn't returning messages, issuing refunds or shipping product.....
If you want a refund there are other ways of getting your money back. Demanding a partial refund on shipping because someone thinks shipping cost too much after the fact is so absurd and entitled.

Could anybody tell me what it costs to send a simple envelope with a 7" from the US to Germany?
I'll open a claim and ask for a refund of the exact difference of the $23 I paid for shipping and the actual costs...
That’ll really stick it to this small independent label.

Bummer the alternate artwork doesn’t include the second disc. Not much point in buying it when it seems like the remastered 2LP will see a reasonably wide release.
-
So based on how many people didn’t get their copies of the Formlessness Redux or KEXP (myself included), it seems like they’re selling records that someone else already purchased and were never sent? Classy.

Just got a shipping notice from SP

The Lost is available on Sonic Pieces' store
-
The new Otto A Totland LP is now up on Sonic Pieces listed as "coming soon".
-
According to Maria from the Wolf Parade Fansite the signed copies had been delayed a bit but should be shipping out this week.
-
Very very excited for this. Prawn can do no wrong.
It's become a bit unreasonable to buy records direct from TSR internationally unfortunately so I'll have to grab it off Amazon when it's released.
-
Bummed at how hard this label crashed.
Never ended up getting my copies of Formlessness Redux from them.
-
God damn this is a good album.

It's been a few years since I've had to do this and I know Apple likes to screw with random features in its OSes sometimes but I believe Windows formatted drives (NTFS) can be read no problem on MacOS, it's just writing to it that requires a workaround.
