  1. Calling something 'hipster garbage' doesn't give you some sort of wisdom or like you've been around long enough so that your taste in music is superior to anyone else's. The point is if you even so much as gave some of these albums a chance (although yes, some of them actually do suck), you'd probably find that you can at least appreciate them. Lose your stigmas. Some people on these boards are dicks just to be dicks and it blows my mind.
  2. This whole week I only got that Helvetia 12", which overall is fine with me. But I have to ask serum7 how one acquires an oM test press on any regular day? I'd love to have a couple one day.
  3. I second the Days Away tip. Would love to have Ear Candy on vinyl.
  4. I'm surprised DIIV (honestly my favorite band this year) made #13. That's a pretty decent spot on a best of list for a band who just started last year, only has one record under their belt, and is still opening for other bands in dinky clubs.
  5. LINK How are you guys feeling about this? I'm actually surprised. So many of my personal favorites got onto this list.
  6. ALTHOUGH I might possibly go for the tortoise flexi tomorrow. Probably cheaper and won't sell out as fast.
  7. I'm not a big flexi fan so I didn't go for it. I started to think about it for half of a second and when I thought I was going to go for it they were sold out. Probably a good thing, I don't have the money at all.
  8. DID YOU GUYS SEE HOW FAST THAT OF MONTREAL FLEXI WENT HOLY SHIT IT WAS ONLY UP FOR LIKE 20 SECONDS.
  9. I'm still really hoping for an eventual pressing of Swimming by French Kicks too. That album is flawless.
  10. I know I'm probably dreaming too big but it would be nice to have something other than that flexi disc TP or cassette TPs for of Montreal tomorrow. I know Joyful Noise didn't press any of their albums but whatever... wishful thinking.
  11. Still waiting on SOME sort of announcement from EVR about Good Apollo I. I know Enjoy The Ride tried to get approval for that but Equal Vision said they had plans... Jump to two years later....
  12. Update: That Kishi Bashi test pressing was signed and $50 and I just couldn't do it. So upset.
  13. Hey speaking of, are these any good? I know a couple pressings of Nevermind sound horrible and I want to go for one of these but I want input from someone who has heard it in person.
  14. Yeah that was a RSD Black Friday 2011 release. They also did a limited edition silkscreen cover/hand numbered/clear vinyl pressing at the time of initial release. Those can be really expensive these days.
  15. continued (I know these aren't all CRAZY COLORS but they're my favorites and some of them are pretty rare) Native - 'Wrestling Moves' (first press, maroon /150) of Montreal - 'Paralytic Stalks' (fuschia /1000) The Sea and Cake - 'Car Alarm' (pink marble vinyl /500) Deftones - s/t (translucent black marble /2000) DIIV - 'Oshin' (ltd edition "ocean colored vinyl" /?) By the way if anyone has any info for any of these that I don't know how many were pressed please feel free to chime in.
  16. I really like this thread and this is my attempt at bringing it back from the dead. Abe Vigoda - 'Crush' (purple vinyl /100) Beach Fossils - s/t (white and black marble /1000) The Beets - 'Let The Poison Out' ("7 Train" purple vinyl /300) The Fall of Troy - "Manipulator" (orange/pink/blue and gold/white/black tri-color striped vinyl /500) The Flaming Lips with Lightning Bolt EP (random colored vinyl /2000) The Flaming Lips - 'Heady Fwends' (random colored vinyl /10,000) Hella - 'The Devil Isn't Red' (grey swirly /?) Kishi Bashi - 'Room For Dream' EP (white/clear /500) METZ - s/t (white marble /?) Minus The Bear - 'They Make Beer Commercials Like This' (rainbow splatter /1000)
  17. haha that album really got mixed reviews. I think it's an artistic breakthrough for them though. my opinion of it might have something to do with the fact that i felt like some of the themes fit my life perfectly at the time of it's release.
  18. Sigur Ros - Valtari The Sea And Cake - Runner Wild Nothing - Nocturne DIIV - Oshin Hot Chip - In Our Heads of Montreal - Paralytic Stalks
  19. Fuck a Japandroids cassette. Fuck a cassette in general. Got the Helvetia 'Nothing In Rambling' test pressing LP. It was reasonably priced too. Going to try for the Kishi Bashi tomorrow but I already know it's going to cost an arm and a leg.
