  1. Update anyone? I talked to Doris Cellar a little while ago and she said they were going to re-press this but it would take some time but I really don't want to wait.
  2. My local record store normally gets the loser editions in so hopefully I'll be able to snag a copy. I know they have the new Dum Dum Girls in. Does anyone know if the standard pressing has that beautiful embossed jacket also?
  3. I also want dat yellow. I have the 180g black pressing but I'm a sucker for anything limited edition.
  4. Just sent my second message last night about my seemingly lost record. I told them that if they just wanted to cancel it and refund me or give me store credit that's fine too (didn't say anything about buying a copy at a show). No reply yet. Funny since on the Captured Tracks facebook page they were talking about how their email gets checked EVERY SINGLE DAY now.
  5. LOL WOW. It was kind of a joke. I have a job, that's how I bought the thing in the first place. HOWEVER does that mean you shouldn't ever sell your rare stuff for more money than you bought it for? That's the way collecting works. Otherwise I'd have something like the original pressing of Clouds Taste Metallic on green vinyl for $15 or Takk... for $30. All I'm saying is if I were in a pickle of some sort (not saying that I am) and I saw an opportunity to buy a record for $14 and sell it in a couple days for $75 in order to eat, I would. That's easy easy cash. There are people that will and do pay that much for this kind of stuff. Sure, it sucks for people who can't afford it (even like myself most of the time), but for every person who can't afford it there are 5 collectors who have the money in hand ready to spend. Once again, it may not apply to this particular release but damn... I said a couple words and I have people being totally rude for no reason.
  6. It's so beautiful though. Picked this up at their Charlottesville show. Also met Cole from DIIV and he's such a sweet guy. We took a picture of our nails. Anyway, mine sounds decent. Might pick up a black copy to compare. Ltd edition is still nice to have around.
  7. I actually picked up an Urban Outfitters exclusive Seafoam Green copy of Paralytic Stalks by of Montreal (I think it's /330) for $9 on clearance. Probably the best purchase I've ever made. It's the second rarest oM pressing ever.
  8. I really really love Captured Tracks so much and it breaks my heart that even after a total customer service renovation, they still aren't replying to emails in regards to products they're supposed to stand by and that they're supposedly doing everything they can about. I also wrote them about getting a tracking number about a week ago and I still haven't got a reply. I'm going to see Wild Nothing in Charlottesville next week so hopefully they have some limited edition copies there because I feel like at this point, that may be the only way I'll ever get my hands on one. They SHOULD have some at the show because it's essentially a hometown show for WN. Guess we'll see. Oh and nelso, I'm like 99% sure I liked your post on Captured Tracks' wall. haha
  9. I can't be the only one who actually enjoyed this record...
  10. I got mine the other day too! You're right it's kind of milky looking. Sounds fantastic too. Didn't they they say it was going to be orange and white? I feel like the same thing happened with the ltd edition Gallery EP by Craft Spells. It was supposed to be red and white but it came out just like this but... reddish obviously. I don't know if the method they use for marbling is always 100% perfect. Still looks purdy though.
  11. Pre-ordered mine a few weeks back. Can't wait to see what it looks like and DEFINITELY can't wait for their first EP to be pressed. Any chance we can see a picture of the colored vinyl, nelso?
  12. Anyone willing to rip that b-side if no download code? Dying to hear the studio version.
  13. I just thought I'd share an update with you guys in case you were wondering "Where the hell is my copy?" People have complained about their customer service in the past but you've gotta give CT props for fixing their problems. They could have just said "Oh well" and you'd have a messed up p.o.s. record.
  14. This is the only thing I have signed but only because it's one of my all time favorite records and Kevin Barnes is a hero and a genius to me. When I met him at my first oM show, I had the record in my hands and he sort of asked me if I wanted him to sign it. I was so nervous to just be in his presence and I think he knew what I wanted to say. Super super nice guy by the way, I could have talked to him for hours.
