  1. I'm gonna start off by apologizing for not resizing the pictures but I'm on a time crunch and felt the need to post what came in today/what I bought recently before I go to work. Gary Clark Jr. 'Blak And Blu' on clear blue and black vinyl, Record Store Day Black Friday 2012 release, /2000 Kishi Bashi 'It's Christmas, But It's Not White Here In Our Town' Snowflake shaped holiday flexi disc, 223/1000. Thee OhSees - The Cool Death of Island Raiders Airiel - Kid Games EP (white vinyl, 1st press) The Soft Moon 'Zeros' Ltd Edition LP. White vinyl/3D industrial plastic cover /500.
  2. Me too. Not trying to steal your thunder but there's gotta be someone out there that can help a couple brothers out with some TAAS vinyl.
  3. Side note Generation Records is probably one of the better things that has ever happened to me.
  4. I kind of forgot all about making this thread so thank you for posting and reminding me! For anyone who wants one of these, I found out that Amoeba had them for sale online and shipping is free. I even emailed them to make sure that everything was included and they confirmed. The actual item was a dollar and some change more expensive but it would have been more expensive to order directly from Captured Tracks anyway. I'm not sure if any are left in stock and I haven't received it yet but so far I'm happy with how this whole thing went. I totally agree though. They are the hip and happening thing right now and I feel like if they truly "revamped" their customer service, they could be the best label out there. They have a roster of extremely talented and unique acts, they put out a great product, they have awesome ideas for limited edition packaging, every band on the label I've had the pleasure of seeing live and meeting has been extremely nice and personable... but to just get one simple thing settled through the label itself is such a pain. They did finally email me back a few days later telling me they were working on the issue at hand but to be honest, if I hadn't already ordered this I probably would have been a little upset that they didn't offer to just send me a paypal invoice for the item(s) I wanted. I just don't understand how they couldn't have noticed that ZERO orders were coming in for around 3 solid weeks or possibly more. Baffles me, really.
  5. Thank you! Been looking for their stuff for awhile at shops in the area and they just aren't around. Miss them a lot too, I dream of a Sundays reunion but it's definitely not worth getting my hopes up for.
  6. I'm kmartwhore on twitter, please accept my follow <3
  7. It's weird because I thought the same thing but it seriously is the best pizza I've ever had. Although here in Virginia Beach, the selection of good pizza is pretty limited.
  8. Hey everyone. I know this isn't the typical FS or WTB post but more of a WTEB (Want to eventually buy)... I'm mainly looking for stuff released in the UK that's kind of difficult to find in the US. But I'll just name some. I'll probably be able to buy something as early as next monday. However, a trade could also be good too. I don't have a tradelist but my discogs username is sadlol if you want to take a look at some of my stuff. Not everything is up for trade but we could always work something out. The Sundays - Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic (picture disc) The Sundays - Blind The Sundays - Static & Silence Cocteau Twins - Victorialand Cocteau Twins - Blue Bell Knoll Cocteau Twins - Heaven Or Las Vegas Cocteau Twins - Four Calendar Cafe Cocteau Twins - Tiny Dynamine/Echoes In A Shallow Bay Cocteau Twins - Love's Easy Tears Beach House - Bloom (Loser Edition) Catherine Wheel - Ferment (or Black Metallic 12") The Edmund Fitzgerald/Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies split 7" The Fashion - s/t Freelance Whales - Weathervanes Hole - Live Through This (taking a shot in the dark here) The Kills - Blood Pressures (green vinyl) Maps & Atlases - Tree, Swallows, Houses (any variant) Ride - s/t EP Sigur Rós - Takk... Minus The Bear (twice) Tristen Parade Kishi Bashi (twice) The Loney Dear of Montreal Seamonster The Aragona Project The Super Vacations White Laces Wild Nothing (twice) Delta Rae Ra Ra Riot Danny Brown Schoolboy Q A$AP Rocky Blonds DIIV And I was going to see Darwin Deez but it got cancelled. I also might be missing some... Not too big of a list but not a lot of must see bands came through my area this year. Hopefully 2013 is a little better.
  10. If you're in Jamaica Queens at any point, definitely check out a pizza place called Margherita. Fucking amazing. Good luck finding a table though. Most people stand there and eat it. I'd say it's totally worth it. Also, and this is kind of off topic, but next time I'm up I really want to check out a bar called Bua in the village... It used to be the original Sin-é as in Jeff Buckley Live At Sin-é so I gotta go.
  11. Helvetia - Nothing In Rambling (Test Pressing, 5/7)
  12. can i make a dick thread for me and the ladies then? i feel like that wouldn't be acceptable.
  13. Now that they're signed to a "vinyl label", I'm hoping this eventually sees the light of day.
