Sycamore 11:09 "Just wanted to let everyone know we're repressing the classic live LP from Caspian very soon! It will feature all new artwork (not pictured, that's the original artwork is shown above) courtesy our long-time collaborator Nate Shumaker. More information coming very soon, but we've been working on getting this repressed since much earlier in the year and we're finally just about there! So keep an eye out!" -Mylene Sheath So not only do we get a new album, a new live album, but a repress of a long out of print, classic Caspian album. Pretty stoked on that. *Will update accordingly. 06/04/15 Live at Old South Church features brand new artwork designed by longtime collaborator N.Shumaker of Northern Lights Industries. It has also been remastered for vinyl using all new plates for this pressing, so it's essentially a new, different version actually. But for the sake of continuity, we'll consider it a 2nd pressing. We'll start taking pre-orders for these ones around the end of July

  9. "Aeges second full length album, Above & Down Below, sees them galloping confidently over any notion of a sophomore slump. The band has taken another step forward with this collection of twelve songs that are as diverse and individual as they are seamless and flowing. It's an especially admirable feat when you consider how busy the band has stayed since releasing their debut full length, The Bridge, in 2012 (which Ghettoblaster Magazine called "one of the most promising debuts in recent memory"). They've effortlessly endured a couple different line-up changes that introduced guitarist/vocalist Cory Clark and drummer Mike Land. The revamped line-up, rounded out by founding member Kemble Walters (vocals/guitar) and Tony Baumeister (bass), was solidified in late 2013 when they began writing the songs that would become Above & Down Below. In between playing shows around the country with Coheed & Cambria, Silver Snakes, Pelican, Big Business and many more bands, as well as writing the new record, and dealing with the line-up changes, the band also found time to further expand their catalog by releasing the Southern Comfort 7" as well as the Bad Blood split 7" with label mates Dust Moth (in which former guitarist Mark Holcomb currently plays). They also made a successful inaugural appearance at the annual SXSW Music Festival this past March, and will be heading out hard in support of the new album this fall. Perhaps because of this steady flow of activity, the songs on Above & Down Below are extremely tight and focused, while being played with a loose confidence and swagger that oozes the spirit of rock and roll. Expanding upon the foundation of the sound that already drew influence from the 90's post-hardcore era, the new record mixes that same heavy edge of Quicksand with the more melodic heavy rock sheen of Soundgarden, Alice In Chains and Queens of the Stone Age. At times it's as heavy as lead, crushing and lurching hard, while other times it's melodic and hook-laden; usually you'll find this contrast within the same song, which is busy making itself quite at home in your head. The album was mixed and mastered by Matt Hyde (Deftones, Slayer, Children of Bodom, Behemoth) at his home studio. The band self-produced the effort and Kemble recorded it at The Sound Portal. Casey Howard (Mastodon, Deftones, The Mars Volta, Avenged Sevenfold) handled the art direction, design and layout for the album. The Mylene Sheath (Pelican, Caspian, Junius, Dust Moth) will be releasing the album worldwide on September 23rd." Link to new track Fault: https://soundcloud.com/themylenesheath/aeges-fault/s-T52Gd Per Mylene Sheath: The LP will feature gatefold jackets and be available on 3 different colors. I'll update the OP when the date is announced.

  11. Following their split 7” with LA’s Aeges released last October, Seattle's Dust Moth now prepares to release their debut EP "Dragon Mouth," a dense, layered genre-defying statement in six distinct movements. Taking the sound hinted at on their debut single “Toto,” the band has upped the ante for themselves across the board. The songs are deceptively heavy while simultaneously lush with atmosphere, as Irene Barbaric’s haunting croon floats effortlessly above it all. The album spans the emotional spectrum with some moments feeling unbearably morose and others feeling utterly triumphant. Few debut EPs sound this confident, this direct, or this special. Stream "Casual Friends": http://dustmoth.bandcamp.com/track/casual-friends Stream "Cusp": http://www.avclub.com/article/listen-track-dust-moth-new-group-featuring-former--201946 "Dragon Mouth" was produced, recorded, and mixed by Matt Bayles, who is also a full time member of the band (keys). His resume is no secret, and includes legendary bands such as Isis, Mastodon, Botch, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and many more. It was then sent off to be mastered by Chris Common (Palms, Pelican, The Sword). The album will be released on April 22nd via The Mylene Sheath, available on three colors of vinyl, as well as CD. The LPs are pressed on 160 gram virgin vinyl and housed in a thick, 20pt stock full color gatefold jacket. Here's pressing info: – Opaque green/grey swirl: 100 – Cream w/blue haze: 100 – Translucent swamp green: 300 – CD: 300 LP ($14): http://www.mylenesheath.com/products/dragon-mouth-lp LP + CD ($17): http://www.mylenesheath.com/products/dragon-mouth-bundle 3xLP + CD ($40): http://www.mylenesheath.com/products/dust-moth-dragon-mouth-ultimate-package-deal LP + Bad Blood 7" ($17): http://www.mylenesheath.com/products/dust-moth-bundle Test press ($35): http://www.mylenesheath.com/products/dust-moth-dragon-mouth-test-press CD ($8): http://www.mylenesheath.com/products/dust-moth-dragon-mouth-cd Dust Moth is comprised of current & former members of such influential bands as These Arms Are Snakes, Minus The Bear, Narrows, Undertow, Aeges and XVIII Individual Eyes.
