corbet
Hello, new user here, really interested in ordering a ton of LPs. I'm just curious if I risk the vinyl and packing getting damaged if I choose the cheaper media mail option? I'm sure you've all had some experience with this and can help me out. roadmonkey
I've found that in the end, it just matters how fast you want your stuff, the USPS doesn't really treat any packaging any different just becuase it is priority vs media. jhulud
It's all in how the vinyl is packaged. The shipping method is really irrelevant.
Guest falloutcollapse
media mail works just fine for me, those LP mailers keep everything nice

thischarmingham
My only issue with media mail in the last few months is that it's slowed to a crawl. Used to be able to get things from one coast to the other in a week and a half tops. I've had things take a month to get from california to texas lately
hootenanny
yeah it takes about a week to get things from virgil. and our states border each other.

hickey
never had a problem with media mail, it's all in how patient you are. I just sent a record from Boston to Cali and it took exactly a week.
sgoodcore
never had a problem with media mail, it's all in how patient you are. I just sent a record from Boston to Cali and it took exactly a week. And a good record too. As for my experience with it, it seems slightly uneven. Sometimes its quick and sometimes is so slow. I know my orders from No Idea take 2 weeks at least. That is from across the country so that might be worst case.
hickey
I find no idea is slow to process orders and that's why they take so long...it's not the actually shipping time, it's the time from when your order is placed, packed and shipped that takes a while.
