Out of Breath Records
Does anyone on the board watch/play lax, otherwise known as the oldest American sport? RowBearToe
crime
I try to follow along with the NLL. I go to as many Toronto Rock games as I can every season. I actually know a couple of guys who play/played in the NLL. They are all super nice dudes, which is hilarious because you wouldn't think it if you only saw them play. I played for a couple years in high school, and it was probably the funnest sport I ever played. Kyle Harrison from John Hopkins actually coaches for a local private school (they're douchebags and kicked our ass).
Family Friendly Rap God
I've played recreationally and watched college lacrosse. I'm hoping it gets bigger

I'm hoping it gets bigger Yeah, it's a really intense sport, I'm surprised it's still so relatively unheard of.

Out of Breath Records
Women's lacrosse blows It's such a joke that they completely change the mechanics for a different gender.
konk
I tried to play 4 years ago when I went back to school. I had played in middle school. First scrimmage, dude checks me, and breaks my collar bone. Stopped after that. (they're douchebags and kicked our ass) This was definitely true of the team we played.

Team Avatar
I can't stand the sport as it is today and majority of lacrosse players I know are the worst. I think it's ridiculous that you can do almost anything without being penalized. I don't have solid arguments for disliking the sport but ugh I don't like it at all. It's barely fun to watch. RowBearToe
Dude yes! Love lacrosse. played in high school (played against Rabil, just throwing that in for fun haha), still follow college and the pros. Go Terps and Bayhawks!
RowBearToe
Women's lacrosse blows Yeah, the first time I went to one of my wife's games back in high school I literally had no idea what was going on. It's not even close to being the same sport haha

Out of Breath Records
How is it different? Rules are different, equipment is different, even their spoons are different.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
How is it different? Completely different sport. My girlfriend coaches high school girls and it is horrific to watch. There is no contact allowed. I have no idea how a girl is supposed to stop someone on defense. A majority of the game is get the ball to the best player and she just runs up to the goalie and shots from 2 feet away and makes about half the shots. There's no pocket, so anyone with a longpole just has to tap their stick and out the ball goes.
Family Friendly Rap God
That's terrible. Pretty much renders cradling ineffective
Out of Breath Records
That's terrible. Pretty much renders cradling ineffective Basically. They should really change the rules for girls lax. It's not even a sport the way they have it set up.
smailtronic
my college roommate played lacrosse, and was pretty good at it. He's now the head coach for the English national lacrosse team.
RowBearToe
Did anyone watch any games this weekend? I was out of town but followed the Terps through live tweets from their twitter account. Down 5-1 at half, tied it at 7. Then scored with 2 seconds left to win it, wish I could have watched! I'm pumped Bryant upset Syracuse, I think that pretty much guarantees us a spot in the final 4. I live in MD so if they make it to the finals I'll be in Bmore on Monday. Have a wedding Saturday so I wouldn't be able to go for the final 4. Surprised Albany showed so well, but stoked they did. Love watching the Thompsons and that offense go, hope they upset ND as well. I think the Hopkins/Duke game this weekend will be one of the best of the entire tournament. I think the winner of that game will be in the finals vs the Terps, but that's just me haha Anyone else have thoughts on May Madness?
