RustyShackelford
http://shop-hellsheadbangers.com/embalmer-there-was-blood-everywhere-vinyl.asp OUT NOW ON HELLS HEADBANGERS. Pressed on blood smeared COLORED VINYL. First 111 numbered copies pressed on PICTURE DISC housed in a custom blood-splattered outer meat cleaver jacket (yes, the cleaver is real & yes, the blood is sorta real)! Both versions come in a Gatefold jacket with a poster of the killer cover artwork. Considered by many to be one of the most cult releases in the storied Relapse catalog, EMBALMER's classic There Was Blood Everywhere is finding a well-earned 12" vinyl release courtesy of longtime fans HELLS HEADBANGERS. Originally released on 7" in 1995, There Was Blood Everywhere came at a juncture where death metal's fascination with gore reached its nadir and the music consequently became staid and slovenly. EMBALMER appeared unconcerned, upping the gory lyrical content to OTT levels and the churning, coagulating grind in kind. The kind of death metal found on There Was Blood Everywhere was (and still is) sick, blown-out, bowel-exploding grind played with hysteric, wide-eyed fervor, its depths of depravity black enough to appeal to fans of Conqueror as they do Carcass. As a bonus, 1993's Rotting Remains demo is added to this special vinyl pressing, thereby making it the definitive EMBALMER statement. 74R

3fingersdown
You should mention the cleaver in the thread title and watch the view count explode. 74R
iron666monkey
This album is crucial. Glad HH is doing this because they always have quality pressings.

Metal Mike
OK, this is totally awesome. I sort of wish the meat cleaver version wasn't a picture disc. Love Hell's Headbangers though.
monsterrod
If the meat cleaver edition wasn't a pic disk, I may have picked that up. I'm gonna go with the colored LP instead. Like iron666monkey said, HH does great work and this is sure not to disappoint.
lexicondevil
Man, I really wished I liked the music because that packaging is sick. When I was listening to the sample the vocals actually made me laugh a little. Is it supposed to be a parody? Not trying to offend any fans here. There is a lot of stuff I like that could be questioned.

It's all in the riffs on this one dude. lexicondevil
castaway
So is this considered grindcore? I used to love shit like this but never understood the garbled midrange thing. (yes I only came here cause meat cleaver was in the title)

(yes I only came here cause meat cleaver was in the title) I would call it death grind b/c IMO it's a mix of death metal and early grind. Feels more death metal to me though. monsterrod
I just grabbed that /500 Leprosy reissue that Relapse put up, so I'm out of the game on the clever bundle for sure. I'll pick up the colored vinyl in a week or so if it's still around.
FailureByDesign
So...if the picture disc with the cleaver is numbered and limited to 111 copies, what's the colored vinyl limited to? Just wondering how fast they will sell
monsterrod
Thanks to the ol' fill up the cart technique (yeah I'm THAT asshole), I can tell you that there are 217 copies left right now. FailureByDesign
monsterrod
There are 41 cleaver variants left, is case anyone was wondering. FailureByDesign
RustyShackelford
If I'm not mistaken there are around 300 standard. The only thing I'm worried about: I hope they don't just slap a label on that awesome bloody mailer and ship it that way. I hope it's inside another box to keep the splattered one in good shape. Metal Mike
I don't think you need to worry Perma. What are the odds that USPS will accept a package with a large knife on the outside?

RustyShackelford
Hahaha I guess you guys are right. It would be funny if they shipped it that way though. I bet that would flag me with the CIA or something
AustraloRex
Ordered! Without a doubt one of the grossest records I've ever heard. Absolutely love it.
