niblips
MATT PRYOR TO RELEASE 'NINE FORTY LIVE' ON DECEMBER 9 LIVE AUDIO ALBUM RECORDED AT INTIMATE HOMETOWN SHOW AT THE LAWRENCE ARTS CENTER 'WHERE'S THE BAND TOUR' ANNOUNCED Matt Pryor will release Nine Forty Live – a live audio album recorded at a special, intimate performance at the Lawrence Arts Center this past January. The album will be released on December 9, 2014 through Rory Records, an Equal Vision Records’ imprint. The album offers Pryor’s signature raw vocal delivery style, candid stage banter, and an added richness from the special accompaniment of live strings, banjo, and a full horn section. The album features material from his solo albums, as well as songs written with The New Amsterdams. He shares, “I’ve been trying to make this mini-orchestra show happen for about eight years. I love how it turned out but I don’t think I’ll ever do it again. It’s a logistical nightmare. Good thing we got it on tape.” Pryor was also recently announced as a performer on select dates of the upcoming Where’s The Band Tour, alongside Dustin Kensrue (Thrice), Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio), Casey Crescenzo (The Dear Hunter), and Andy Jackson (Hot Rod Circuit). Earlier this year, Pryor unveiled a music video for “Kinda Go To Pieces”, featuring a guest appearance from 2013 Air Guitar World Champion Eric “Mean Melin” Melin. The song comes from his latest solo album Wrist Slitter, which is out now via Rory Records/Equal Vision Records. The “Kinda Go To Pieces” music video can be seen now on YouTube.com/equalvision – along with a full album stream of Wrist Slitter. All upcoming tour dates for Pryor can be found below, along with the tracklisting for Nine Forty Live. TOUR DATES: Where’s The Band Tour ft. smailtronic
Pro tip: posts like this should always start in Everything Else. If/when a vinyl release is confirmed, the mods can move it over to the VC page.
