somethingvinyl
Saw this on their FB. Quite excited for new Zao!For all their incarnations, Funeral of God was one of my favorite. I really want to like "The Fear Is What..." but I just don't like it, nor Awake. Really looking forward to this.
IWastman
Shit, I liked the drums on The Funeral of God... whatevs. Will buy this.
daegor
I can't order my Zao albums better than this (Dan only): All Else Failed < Awake? < All the other albums. I probably listen to The Fear a lot, I really dig the vibe of that album, but I really can't choose a favorite. Funeral of God is what got me into them. daegor
Shit, I liked the drums on The Funeral of God... whatevs. That's what a lot of people say (myself included, or at least, I didn't think they were bad). But they hated them, so *shrug*. I think in previous interviews they had a very different sound in mind for the drums and it wasn't realized in the finished product, so there is probably a self-biased hatred going on. daegor
I'll just wait on the LP. Bear in mind that these songs will not be on the LP, and it seems pretty doubtful that they will still be available when the LP pre-order goes up. Well, I'm buying 7". I typically don't but I need to add new songs to my Zao collection. I'm a huge fan. I have most their stuff on vinyl. Glad you told me this wouldn't be on the LP. kurtz
Haven't really been into anything they have done since Parade of Chaos. I still buy anything they release though because Blood & Fire blew my mind when I was 15. Will definitely pick this up.

This exactly, except, I was blown away by LIberate. I heart Splinter and liked it but didn't buy Blood and Fire until after I heard how great LIberate was. GreatGreenOne77
Parade of Chaos & All Else Failed with Dan doing vocals are probably my top two faves, with Blood & Fire coming in third. Libera Te Ex Inferis has always reminded me of them somehow dipping into Neurosis type territory but doing it well while still holding on to that hardcore underpinning. mindovermatter
What Zao do you have on vinyl? As stated...99% of it. Lol The only variants I am missing are: Where Blood & Fire "Fest Edition" Splinter Shards (Black) Splinter Shards (Test) and test presses for their first two 7"s I'm not holding my breath for those last few tests, but the WBAFBR & Splinter variants shouldn't be an issue so long as I have the funds when they crop up.
