Got in a few goodies yesterday of which I think a few are tougher to come by. I got in some Orange copies of Hot Cross' Rise Revival. I thought that record was out of print. We also got in some Coalesce, Cephalic Carnage (Denver locals), Nile, The Wanna-Bes, and the Statues. I keep hearing that I need to check out the Statues. Anyone recommend them? If so, comment what they sound like.

for sure, with relapse stuff, if you guys can help me know what to order, relapse doesn't do the best job with updates so I don't always know what is coming out. I will try to get the above requests.

Good work getting the Hot Cross album too - that is one of the best records in recent years.

well then they lied.

They did a second run of 500. 3 more colors, they have been on the relapse store for at least a couple weeks at this point.

I keep hearing that I need to check out the Statues. Anyone recommend them? If so, comment what they sound like.

Statues are one of the best pop bands going these days. I would compare them a bit to Marked Men or early Thermals, but not as lo-fi and with more jangley guitars. Can't recommend them enough, but their best work is definitely their LP - New Peopl Make Us Nervous. Best record I heard last year by a wide margin.
