flicker
Sorry if this has been done to death, but what are some good ways to go about storing test presses? And not only test presses, but also picture discs that come in those thick plastic sleeves that always seem to get bent up. any advice/ideas? Guest falloutcollapse
I was justtttt going to start this thread. What I did was put both records between the two thick pieces of cardboard they came with and in a poly sleeve.
flicker
what i've started doing is keeping them in the mailers they came in, but that takes up alot of precious storage space, and looks kind of ugly...
thomas
I break into pressing plants at night and steal them. I actually don't have any, so I don't do that. Edit: I thought this said score :/.

flicker
but they dont have cardboard sleeves. Im looking for options on how to store them so i dont need to keep replacing the paper sleeves when they get bent to shit.
Guest falloutcollapse
I'm planning on doing some sweet stenciling on the outer cardboard part to make it distinct.

Guest nickman
a friend and i both own ISIS - Panopticon test press so he made two special spraypainted covers:
stefan
Never buy blank covers! Head down to your local record store and ask them for loose covers, they should have several just lying around (eg.- from shitty vinyl that was scratched up) that they'll give you or will sell to you for way less than bagsunlimited. Then use a blade to bust the seems open, turn the cover inside out, apply glue, wait for it to dry and decorate as you see fit. Nothing better than a sweet test press inside an old New Kids OTB or Tijuana Brass sleeve!

Nothing better than a sweet test press inside an old New Kids OTB or Tijuana Brass sleeve! my Lifetime and Trial By Fire tests are like this. except i used the extra LP covers that rev hq sends out with orders. i photocopied the covers and wrote "test pressing" on them. Yemin signed my lifetime test. my Shooks tests are store like normal records, also.
