minty
Recently my neighbors gave me a box of old records which they found whilst clearing out their house, and my cat Buzz seems to have taken a shine to them! I actually picked him up off them, and went back 10 minutes later to find that he was sleeping on them again.

chiefwahoo
I'm sure those albums are fairly common over there but I still don't like seeing a cat sitting on a bunch of UK pressings of albums from the 60s

I don't think he understands value...

benchwarmer
just make sure he doesn't use them as a scratching post. my fiance's dads cats tore the shit out of the spines of his records.
divaface
looks just like my parent's cat. this would be a lot cuter if i didn't care about records

Also, the second picture of the cat with the shadows of his ears sort of remind me of the Unfun cover. Sort of.

minty
Minty, your cat is so cute. Here's his brother, Woody. He likes reading the Book of the Dead: Keeping it on the vinyl subject...I found some pretty interesting records in the box. The Beatles, The Who, Frank Zappa, Bob Marley etc... Maybe they are worth something! Anyone here good at valuing records from the 70's?
adamlikesmusic
Based off the pictures you've posted online before, you look oddly like your cat Buzz in that second picture.
twat
Zappa recs are pretty sought after, depending on condition of course. As well as the Marley. Who recs are common. Any Hawkwind by chance?
minty
Zappa recs are pretty sought after, depending on condition of course. As well as the Marley. Who recs are common. Any Hawkwind by chance? I think there might have been some Hawkwind actually. The Zappa record is in great condition apart from one rather large scratch. It's this record: I think it's an original press because it's dated 1970...
twat
You may ave something of value to a zappa fan, the red covers are more common.if there are any Hawkwind, let me know which ones.
minty
The cover is yellow...I just checked Popsike and a copy that is exactly the same went for £99 ($200) a few years ago. Very interesting! I'll check for Hawkwind tomorrow, it's currently 2:48am. Thanks for the help!

jercjast
I have to keep a very watchful eye around on my cat when he goes near my records. He's chewed up the corners of my Hitler Bad, Vandals Good and my What's Really Going On? He seems to have an affinity for old Kung Fu bands. The cardboard must taste really good.
