Although I am working today, it is still the weekend as far as I am concerned. Tonight, Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground are playing a free show w/ their alter ego, Wild Orchid Children. I have emailed, texted, and myspace messaged almost everyone I know with the hopes that they might come out tonight or tomorrow when Kay Kay starts their tour with Portugal the Man and Rx Bandits. Monday nights are tough and most of my friends are old (my age or younger) although being old has nothing to do with age. Regardless of attendance tonight, I will be up front with my PBR tall boy singing along to every song. I can't wait!

Because so much is happening, Here is a brief update of things to expect:

* I talked Mike Park into allowing us to offer 100 deluxe sets that don't include Goddamnit. He said yes. These will include 2 colors of Maybe I'll Catch Fire and the rest of the goodies.

* Mike later called me back to tell me that his pressing plant pressed 4 colors of Maybe I'll Catch Fire, not 3 like he had ordered. So in addition to the deluxe sets A and B, we will have 3 of the 4 colors for sale individually (the 4th is a hot topic exclusive)

* We will soon be posting pre-orders for the Broadways "Broken Van" vinyl. Only 500 pressed with hand-numbered hand-screened covers.

* Also from Asian Man, we will be posting the new Lemuria and Kepi Ghoulie records.

* In the spirit of Asian Man, Solidarity Records will be releasing Honor System's Single File over a pressing of 500 copies (100 as a VC exlusivie, 400 of a 2nd color). We will post that pre-order today too along with a test pressing contest.

* You asked for it, you got it, we have 30 Lawrence Arms pint glasses that we will sell individually. These will more than likely go super fast.

* I have a few copies of the Isis live vinyl to post and we got in a new jacket for the Coalesce salt and passage vinyl that should be posting later today, too.

* I have a boat load of restocks to post including black vinyl of Torche Meanderthal and lots from our friends at Fat.

* Also, we will be sending out 59 sound on white, black, and blue (w/ tshirt), kay kay vinyl which just showed up, and Ninja Gun vinyl and deluxe sets. This is justin's last week and it will be a gnarly one.

I just wanted to give you a head's up since these will be posted here and there this afternoon.

I had a great weekend, my birthday beer day was fantastic. Went to New Belgium, Odell's, and Oskar Blues, and drank beer all day and then saw Pineapple Express which was totally sweet.

Will the Broadways pre-orders go up today?

Cuz if they are, I'm gonna stay awake for a little longer (it's bedtime here in Norway...) and wait for it.

my plan is to get all of this up today.

Man, so much going on here! On top of all this, I was wondering how VC might be involved in the upcoming Portugal. release. Is there any information on that?

we will have an exclusive color which should be the most limited option. We are bummed that we are not putting it out entirely, but are stoked to have an exclusive color. The guys will get an earful from me when I see them tonight.

Can't wait to get my hands on the Kay Kay 7", need some new music to listen to in the car since Norma Jean's new album just gets more and more irritating with every listen.

And the PTM thing does suck, VC's church mouth was such a nice overall package I was real dissapointed to hear your not involved with the new album.
