You don't normally get two newsletters from us in one month, but things have been rather crazy around these parts lately, and we're difinitely keeping busy. Since a lot of you went completely bat shit crazy over the AWS Diver seven inch last week, we figure you probably want to know about more exciting AWS news, so keep reading. While you're at it, check out some other awesome Jump Start bands. They're keeping really busy too and they don't disappoint.

Oh, and since it's been a while, I decided to have Eric from the Screenprinting side of all things Jump Start drop some knowledge on you this time around. He also seems to see things around here in a much more comical light, so enjoy!

Here we go, boys and girls, Summer is drawing to a close, and as we look towards the Fall, your friends at Jump Start are left with more questions than answers. Questions like "Will this be the magical October the Phillies finally win it all?" and "What's the big deal about Batman? He's not even a superhero, just some rich jerk in a cape." Alas, there is no time to ponder such menial questions. The big question around this place is, "What the hell are we gonna do with all drug money we've got lying around here?" Well, lucky for you we can't save worth a damn, and are putting it all back into super sweet releases and totally bitchin' bargains for you, the consumer.

1. New Antillectual LP "Testimony" out September 23rd, pre-sales have begun!

First up, we have a September 23rd LP release from our Dutch buddies, Antillectual. If you're like me, and I hope to Christ none of you are, when I think of The Netherlands I think of tulips, wooden shoes, and giant windmills filled to the brim with marijuana and prostitutes. Turns out the Dutch are good for more than just weed and whores, and can turn out some pretty kick ass rock n' roll. Pre-sales are going on now, so if you dig bands like Propagandhi and A Wilhelm Scream, and need something new to rock out to while you're wasting your parents money at the college of your choice... pick this one up. 2. Jena Berlin Fall Euro Tour, New Seven Inch out this fall.

Now, on a more sentimental note...It seems like just yesterday we were buttoning up their little jackets, packing their PB and J's, and sending them out the door for their last US tour. Now, before we knew it, our babies in Jena Berlin are all grown up and shoving off to tackle "the dark continent"....Europe. They just grow up so fast. The boys in JB are also set to release a seven inch entitled "This is Yours as Much as it is Mine." Have fun saying that in those crazy Euro languages every night. In any case, we're real proud of the little buggers and wish them a safe trip. Check out their Myspace for all the dates in all the kooky little towns along the way. Wunderbar!

3. A Wilhelm Scream Diver and Career Suicide represses.

What can we say about our boys in A Wilhelm Scream. This year has been a whirlwind for them; from reaching number three on the Mexican Billboard charts, El Musica Grande, to lead singer Nuno's highly publicized, blood sport style deathmatch against a wallaby in Australia. Although we don't condone violence against animals, and didn't even see the fight, someone had to win, and our boy Nuno is still here, naw mean? Enough joking. For serious though, we are repressing the Diver 7" (100 white and 400 clear) and Career Suicide 12" vinyl (slime green/yellow and blue vinyl). They are both on their way here, so be on the lookout. Last time we released these records they went faster than, umm, I dunno, something super fast, like, uhhh, a cheetah or something. Don't sit out these represses!

I also have to say selling the /50 variant for $10 just because you can was also kinda lame..But trying to justify it by saying they go for heaps on ebay?

May I ask whatever happened to Westgate? I played with them a LONG time ago and they played a Lifetime cover. The "Afire" CD was incredible.

make sure you're looking at all the shipping options before finishing your order. a lot of international customers are ignoring the standard shipping and only looking at the priority mail shipping option for overseas orders. priority mail is a lot more, as well as rounds up to the next nearest pound.

krepunk, your order definitely went out because it was the only order from south africa, and i packaged and mailed it personally. it should get there. i have no experience with shipments to south africa. i think your's might be the first we've ever sent there.

if you email us with any ordering mistakes we'll take care of everything. we're flooded with orders and emails right now, so sit tight.

the limited edition version was $10 because of that very reason....it was very limited. only 50 of them will ever exist in that form. unlike the first pressing version, from which they came (the 50 were an overprint amount), the records aren't hand numbered, and they come with two color hand printed sleeves instead of the full color glued jackets like the first pressing. it's not lame or stupid to ask for more for them, especially if people are going flip them (and other people buy them) at crazy ridiculous mark ups. why should people who are just hawks get that money? they're not doing anything to put out the release? are they going to give that extra money to the band so they can continue to tour everywhere and anywhere humanly possible? are they going to give me that extra money to make up for all the effort and time i spend printing the sleeves and assembling all the records all by myself? what do i do with the money? you're looking at it. every cent spent on jump start releases goes back into jump start releases. this isn't some huge faceless label with posh offices and huge band advances and contracts. this is 1, 2, and sometimes 3 people working their asses off helping bands as much as possible. it's only lame because the 50 we had sold out in 35 minutes. i wish we could have made more available, but then it wouldn't be so limited, would it?

the white version costs more because it costs more to make (you have to pay extra for switching colors, even in the middle of a press run), and the fact that we're only going to make 100 of them ever. it's not $10 like the hand printed sleeve version because everything else about the white version will be the same as the clear version.

oh, and i forgot to add, that if anyone is flipping them, they're really not a fan of the band in the first place. no one should have gotten multiple copies, and if anyone ordered more than 1 copy their order was either cancelled, refunded, or we spoke with them through email or on the phone to make sure it wasn't a flipping issue (of which, there were only three issues that were all dealt with).

if you see anyone flipping the record, they're not a true collector and only trying to make money they don't deserve off of hard working bands and labels.

the new one win choice cd is badass, you guys should get it pressed. astpai are pretty good too and great dudes. i did their tour in western pa and had a lot of fun.

i know you guys aren't their label, but any word if the code is back for good or not? i saw them with a-f and btmi in december and they were as good as they've ever been and had a few new songs they played.
