dante3000
There is zero chance that I'm fucking re-entering every single record I have....like none.

kyle
Yup, same here. This has happened before, and the lists always appeared back to normal, but still, this is frustrating. I plan on going through all my records again and putting them in an Excel spreadsheet and then putting that up on Google Docs. There are some extra fields I'd like to include that RecordNerd doesn't have the room for.

googlemyass
so the easiest way for google docs is DIY in excel then transferring it? because i really dont want something like this to happen and not have my stuff come back. Thats the best way I see of doing it. The upside of that is you can always keep a hard copy as a backup, but if Google ever wiped out your information, then I'd say the whole internet is fucked and you have bigger things to worry about than your rercord list. haha

monk0nuggets
I might just make columns in word and do it that way, then upload. I don't like excel.

kirbypuckett
Google docs is convenient for some, but I think it's a mess and I rarely look at anyone lists if they're on there. Honestly, if I was better at databases I would make a website right now. Maybe someone on here is and we could create a website for cataloging records. Maybe Virgil would even host it on VC. I mean it kinda makes sense with the URL. Hell if you clicked a record there could even be a buy from VC link. Honestly, I should just do this. Maybe I'll research it when I get a chance. Anyone here familiar with web design and programming? PM me and we'll smooth this out. I like recordnerd, but reasons like this and the no apostrophes thing piss me off. Guest nickman
www.deadformat.net will soon have the ability to create tradelists based on the records in the pressing info database. for now, it supports regular text based lists (similar to HYE).
