scottheisel
To be honest, one metronome is as good as the next. Just make sure it has a headphone jack so you can wear earbuds while playing.
mediocore
I heard that the Flobots can keep rhythm with no metronome. Maybe they have a used one you can buy?
brentoage
pick up a Tama Rhythm Watch. i've had one for years and it has lots of awesome features. The Tama Rhythm Watch is the first metronome to give drummers the special features they require. And it has enough volume so you can play with real drums. The large display is easy to read during performance, and there's a large dial for quick tempo adjustments. Choose from 2 different sounds. 20 different memory settings can be recalled instantly. Red and green LED lights offer visual reinforcement. Volumes for quarter notes, eighth notes, and triplets can be set individually for different rhythm patterns. Tap function lets you find the tempo by simply tapping the START/TAP button. martyk36
Sorry to be lame-o, but what does a metronome do? I've always wondered (and I'm obviously I'm not a drummer)

It sounds like it'd be much cooler to hire someone who speaks fluent Xhosa to stand next to you while you drum than to blow any amount of cash on a metronome. Snaggle Von Swift
I spent $6 on my metronome.. I don't see the point in paying a shit load of money for it. mine beeps, is loud and has a blinking light. all one should need?
