Paint it Black parking lot show-UHAUL STAGE DIVES. 3.Ben Conoley- The dude got the holdsteady to play his bachelor party(seriously). 4.Discovering Ninja Gun- They killed it. 5.Scott Heisel- no joke scott is an amazing drummer. Someone give him back his AP banner. 6.O pioneers Jawbreaker cover- ruled, and I don't even like that band. 7.Flood- I owe him a milkshake still. 8. Kirby "Scotty" Pucket - Rocking the pirates hat like its a phillies hat. 9.None More Black- both sets were amazing. Collin the guitar player my new best friend. 10. Best of the Fest - WAREHOUSE SHOWS!!!!!!!! - Descendents, Jawbreaker, Face to Face, Refused and numerous Kid Dynamite covers at said warehouse shows - getting to meet Justin Communique, Aaron Danger, Eric KOD, Hyperinactive, Adam Muzzy (again) and of course Virgil - Reggae Shack three nights in a row<3333333 - interviewing Justin for GIR's small label series - PIB 10 second parking lot set - tie between most insane sets for me: Hour of the Wolf and Polar Bear Club - getting the nerve to jump on stage for Broadway Calls - NONE MORE BLACK - not having to wait on line at Common Grounds AT ALL to see Able Baker Fox - Able Baker Fox.... HOLY. SHIT. WOW. - iced coffee from Leo's - beautiful weather all weekend (even the few rainy spots on Sunday was nothing) - Sakes Alive!! - meeting a longtime internet friend of mine and witnessing his awesome PeeWee Herman costume - my Fievel costume ruled. - somehow managing to see every single person I wanted to see at least once all weekend - Wayward Council vegan brunch, once again did not disappoint - somehow managed to get a bunch of free records (!!) and shirts last night - my new sweet ass Kiss Of Death mug Worst/Lame/Mild Annoyances - getting lost with my friend Kate and almost running over deer trying to find the warehouse Friday night, though a saving grace was when we found out the show didn't happen - forgetting my ID at the hotel on Friday (and we were at the Paramount so it wasn't walkable) and the security at the Venue being absolute assholes about not letting me in. Thankfully I found a friend to drive me back and get it - missing A Wilhelm Scream as a result of not having my ID - awful allergic reaction from the amount of smoke inside the Reggae Shack on Saturday night; they were so busy food was constantly cooking. Because of the really long wait for food, the smoke inhalation made me really sick (burning itchy eyes, trouble breathing, whole nine...) While the food was of course delicious, I had to sit out a couple of bands I really wanted to see because I was sick for a good two hours or so and the smokey venues made it worse. I forced myself to sit outside for a good while, throw water in my eyes and make myself feel better. This was easily the worst part of the weekend for me. - bummed on missing these bands due to said illness, too long of a line wait, schedule confusion, etc: Nothington, Menzingers, You Me & the Atom Bomb, Chillerton (2 years in a row, blah), This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb (ditto), Dear Landlord (triple ditto), Ninja Gun, Drag The River, Protagonist, Landmines, Algernon Cadwallader, Degenerics, The AKA's, Benard, Jena Berlin - not getting a chance to try Gator Dawgs and El Indio this year... again.
