I really do think Franco should have gotten a best supporting actor over Brolin. There was more info in the doc on dan white than brolin in the movie.. For me personally, Brolin deserves the nomination because he was able to make me understand a man (Dan White) I've absolutely hated for years. Not that I like or am happy with Dan now. I just mean it would have been really easy to play that character as another gay hating good old american boy, but Brolins acting showed you more. I'm not sure how many people would have given Dan as much depth as he did. Then again, I loved Milk. michael Posted January 23, 2009 Share Posted January 23, 2009 i think milk was the best film i saw in 08, although i haven't yet seen frost/nixon or the wrestler. doubt doesn't get enough attention, in my opinion it was a lot better than slumdog millionaire. slumdog millionaire was a great concept but the execution was sketchy considering it was a bollywood film made by a bunch of white dudes. in my opinion the dark knight was the second best batman (the original batman being the best) but it doesn't compare to the milks or doubts of this year, so to speak. cadetapplesauce Posted January 23, 2009 Share Posted January 23, 2009 there are some blogs out there that post rapidshare/megaupload links to entire movies. you just gotta do a google search for them. these are all up now because they're "for your consideration" copies that were ripped and leaked. anyway... just finished milk. it was pretty good. not phenomenal, but still very good. i think i liked the wrestler better. I was finally able to hit up a theater and see Milk this week. The entire cast was fantastic and I also think Franco should have gotten the Oscar nod as well (I also think that Fanco should marry me too but we can't always get what we want).
