Guest baseball Posted February 5, 2009 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Everyone from around this area knows the guy likes to party and I'm pretty sure he admitted to smoking pot in the same night he got that DUI or whatever a few years back. I'm glad it got publicity because it helps dispell the ridiculous stereotype that smoking pot somehow hinders someones athletic or any other ability to function like a 'normal' person. My friend used to swim competitively with Phelps when he was younger and said he's always been extremely arrogant and full of himself. I'd imagine most world class athletes are though. If you're 15 and drug free it doesn't mean you're straight edge, it's called being a normal kid. There's a huge difference between being straight edge and being scared to try drugs because you're just really young OR really christian.
