suburbanargyle
I saw them with Tiger Army opening, it was A PSYCHOBILLY FREAKOUT!!!
rocknroll76
Saw them many times, but the albums started going downhill, so I lost interest. Smoke 'Em, Full Custom, and of course Liquor In The Front are all good.
xjustinxschwierx
yup...live they're a dog and pony show though, if you've seen em once, you've seen them a 100 times, 90% of their set list and "live hi jinks" are the same as they were 15 years ago. This is very true unfortunately. I did see them one time that was a little different and quite interesting. The first 30 minutes they played instrumentals and the Reverend didn't even open his eyes or say a word. He finally opened his eyes and started talking to the crowd and you could tell he was just totally fucked up on something. Then he just started absolutely pounding drinks for the last 60 minutes. He was drinking vodka tonics out of pint glasses followed by Jager shots. He easily had 6 of each in an hour, play a song, finish a drink, play a song, finish a drink, and so on. It was quite amazing and he didn't even miss a note. There gonna be in St. Louis in July and I'll probably check them out again. It's been a couple years since I've seen them. xadamhudsonx
If you're in SoCal they're headlining the Hootenanny this year. Also playing are: Horrorpops Nekromantix The Blasters Three Bad Jacks Lee Rocker The Supersuckers Los Lobos Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and others. Plus car show and vendors and TONS of hot rockabilly chicks! It's gonna be a good time.

cosmonaut
True story - I used to know a girl who was obsessed with the Reverend. She got him to autograph her ass, then had the autograph tattooed.

ONce we were hanging out at the bar at the white rabbit in san antonio, and that motherfucker was pounding the booze. Not beer.. liquor an shots... anyway, his time finally comes and the motherfucker is wasted and just get sup and stumbles to the back, and suddenly they come out and it's not like he was even drunk.. it was crazy. Justin is totally right about only needing to see them once.
