This is the first mother's day I'll be away from my mom in 22 years. I'm pretty sad about it.

I used to like to cook her an awesome dinner but since I havnt been home for it in about three years I usually have flowers delivered to her as well as gift certificates to her favorite restaurants as well as I make reservations at said restaurant for her and my dad.

my mom never wanted anything but hugh grant movies on dvd to watch.. this year, she's in hospice with dementia among other things.. i'm gonna call her and tell her I love her. that's all i can do. my aunt still plays NOTTING HILL for her from time to time.. i know she's happy watching it.

today I bought my Mother's Day gifts for my mom and grandma (grandma's birthday is also on Mother's Day).

I went to Lush. I love that store. All natural, animal friendly (as in not animal tested, vegetarian, and most products are vegan even) cosmetics like soaps, shampoos, perfumes, etc.

I got my Mom:

I LOVE this stuff. Better than lotion and it's not smelly.

And I got my Grandma:

This soap called Honey I Washed the Kids. It smells like honey and caramel. Perfect for grandma.

and

This smells like awesome lemony goodness. I want to eat it sometimes. It's cuticle butter but I use it for my feet and stuff cause they get dried out and peely.

I love being able to buy shit for my family. I don't get to do it that often.
