jaime
Maybe you should bitch more. Maybe increase the homophobic comments, also. well alright, i mean, if you want me to. i'll try my best.
michael
oof yeah EF that...guess this is one of those bands that are kinda mediocre that i used to really like when i was 15 that i will never see. also file under this list: taking back sunday, modest mouse, saves the day, my chemical romance... j4m35
i would see any of those bands for 15 bucks or less in a smaller venue
jaime
oof yeah EF that...guess this is one of those bands that are kinda mediocre that i used to really like when i was 15 thought i was the only one on this one, thanks. really dont understand all the hype this band still gets. especailly "fuck my life" responses when people cant get tickets. michael
same, except i wouldn't see my chemical romance unless they pinky promised they would only play 'three cheers for sweet revenge' in its entirety.
Guest kevinb
Fuck, that Grog Shop show is gonna be dynamite (or a huge clusterfuck). yeah and for some reason I still want to go
sgoodcore
i would see any of those bands for 15 bucks or less in a smaller venue Me too. Even if they're aren't amazing, weird band hijinks aside, they put out one album I absolutely love (Deja) and one that's totally solid (The Devil...). And I'd see almost any band at the Troubadour in LA. Just saw The Thermals there Wednesday and it was awesome.
michael
also yes, while virtually every band has at least some douchey fans, i have a feeling that i would have to drink a liter of vodka in order to cope with brand new's fans

Brand New's fanbase is either people who caught on around YFW and Deja, who are in the their mid-20s or young girls. Neither are difficult to deal with at all. michael
i figured it would be full of 15 year old me's...which would make me want to kill myself
goraiders
god i love seventy times seven, its like 21 year old me is realizing what 15 year old me was missing.
deafmx
yikes. last time i saw them after the last album came out it was $30 with Thrice/mwy opening. i mostly wanted to just see mwy and was bummed out by both Thrice and Brand New, bands that just went soft and bland (sorry). i always am tempted to see Brand New again but i know better after the last 2 times. Troubadour rules. i miss it so much! saw so many GREAT shows there. and yeah, if you love Your Favorite Weapon like me, you will be disappointed royally. they didn't play a single song off it a couple years ago! michael
i think J4M35 said this to me a few months ago... jesse lacey probably hates himself for writing your favorite weapon
trainreck
I'll be at the Grog Shop the day before for Kay kay, not sure if I want to go back up for this- it is tempting though. thank you for bringing this show to my attention! that's gonna be a good time for sure
j4m35
i think J4M35 said this to me a few months ago... jesse lacey probably hates himself for writing your favorite weapon yeah, but the album still kicks ass, at least in nostalgic sense. when i saw brand new with thrice the fans actually weren't THAT bad - in fact thrice fans are much worse. tanukichu
oof yeah EF that...guess this is one of those bands that are kinda mediocre that i used to really like when i was 15 thought i was the only one on this one, thanks. really dont understand all the hype this band still gets. especailly "fuck my life" responses when people cant get tickets. Directed at moi? I'll own up to saying it but I'm pretty bummed about not getting tickets. I don't listen to Brand New all that much anymore to be honest. BUT, I've always wanted to see them live because I've never had the chance to. And the venue they're playing in Philly is incredibly intimate. It's definitely going to be an experience. I'm really into shows like this. If it's not your thing, whatever fine, but it is some people's.
magalvsr13
i dont get how..if any other reason than for nostalgia...YFW > TDAG or DEJA your favorite weapon is good...but the others are sooooo much better
michael
i can see how people would like the first album more because it's practically a different genre of music from the other two. i like the first one the most too.
j4m35
the others are definitely better musically (and lyrically i suppose) but the harmonizing on your favorite weapon is damn near perfect. nothing better than playing jude law and a semester abroad loud as fuck in your car and singing along line-for-line.
