tomoleksy
So what do you all do besides collect vinyl? I used to be way into DVDs and just recently started selling off some of my rarer stuff to fund my vinyl buying. Its sad to sell some stuff I've had for years but its nice to think and old hobby is paying for a new one.
scottheisel
Whenever I go out to a restaurant and they have pint glasses with their logo on it, I try to pocket one (and tip the server big for doing so). I have a collection of around 20-30, including ones I've gotten in Sweden and Russia (and the first set of Suburban Home pint glasses, too). The funny thing is, I don't drink. kyle
I'm into photography. For a while I was also into camera collecting and had something like 15 different cameras at one point. I've probably owned 40+ cameras over the last few years, the vast majority of which are vintage. They've ranged in value anywhere from $10-$2000. I used to shoot strictly with Leicas, but I've sold my last Leica and now my one and only serious camera is a medium format Rolleiflex. scottheisel
The funny thing is, I don't drink. lol hooray for sober ohioans! Some people call me straight edge; I prefer the term "sobercore." 25 years and running.
loren
yea the term straight edge seems to be overused or something like that i dont know how to explain it exactly actually

benchwarmer
haha yea, I have a ton of pint glasses, and a few of them promote drinking alcohol right on them such as my Big Bad Bullocks (awesome band from Boston) pint glass that says "drink up fuckers" or something like that. I fill that bad boy with so much Dr. Pepper.

benchwarmer
as far as other hobbies, I like to make things, and I play air hockey every week (bostonairhockey.com)
Guest conoley
I love poker. I did well enough to put myself through the last few months of school with it, so that's alright. I'd love to make it to high stakes, but I think it's a fun and social game at the level I play now. Too bad it costs money to play properly. dim
This really isn't a collection, but I've got like a sock drawer full of 1" pins. Can't say I really pin up anything now though, but thats the closest thing I have to a collection next to vinyl.
mrc
i have a HUGE dvd collection, but i dont really buy anything anymore since netflix. My cd collecting days have come to an end as well (i would rather buy vinyl). and i do some photography here and there. My picture taking has trailed off since i dont go to as many shows (in my old age) and when i graduated from college i lost my darkroom use. but i did grab a Nikon D-50 so i am giving digital a chance. thomas
I used to collect DVDs, but I realized I was not watching like 80% of them so I sold off the stuff I didn't watch. I also have been collecting video games through out the years, mostly RPGs that have had sort runs and can be sold for a quite a few dollars on the web. jacobe
I collect comics and have done so for close to 21 years. I've got a little over 10k now, although I've not cataloged in some time.
destroyingthescene
I train in jiu jitsu and I love it. It's a great way to relieve stress and help with the old self-confidence thing. I used to collect old NES games and such, but I've started selling off a lot of them to help pay for school. Anyone want to buy a complete copy of 10 Yard Fight, Blades of Steel, Rampage, or Double Dragon 2? haha, nah, I'm gonna hold on to those for a bit longer, heh. ps
I used to get a lot of tattoos, I don't know if that can be included as a hobby. Although I did spend a lot of time and money on them. Now my hobby is mostly keeping an eye on my kids..... growing up sucks sometimes.
destroyingthescene
I loved that whoever lost the fight got the penalty! If only it could be like that in realty - "5 Minutes to Barnaby for being a pussy".
xfedaykinx
the only other major hobby i have is playing music. i play bass in a 'stoner not-so-metal' band. other than that, i watch movies, read books and play video games just like most other people. my life basically just revolves around music. either playing, listening or collecting. Luongo and the Sedins are great to watch.
destroyingthescene
Prior to being a 'Nucks fan I was a Flyers fan (up until they traded away Brindy over Lindros). My old hockey coach became the skating coach for them years ago so when the Flyers came through to play the Canucks, I got to meet most of the team. And in true Bob Clarke fashion, most were all traded away the following year. P.S. - trade us Jeff Carter.
