lokithelion
where the hell is loki in this thread? dude usually recommends some of the better movies out there. Haha sorry dude, I haven't been posting a lot this week. We're snowed in cause our parking lot is on a steep hill. I'm thinking about breaking out the following Night of the Demons (lip stick boob trick? dear lord the wife wont know what hit her) Diabolique (1950's version, seriously if you don't mind slow pacing in your horror thrillers this movie will rock you. to this day one of the best endings i've ever seen. my favorite French horror film period. Even better than the new school stuff.) Lost Boys (I have it on bluray and it looks killer. one of my favorite cold and blucky weather movies.) Butcher Boy (More of a drama but hey it works as part of the theme) Nightbreed (my wife is going to pee herself at the monster design.) We watched Innocent Blood this week and if you have netflix streaming you should check it out. John Landis who did American Werewolf in London directed it and it's a weird ass mash up of Vampire and Mobster movies.

destroyingthescene
Definitely echo the sentiment for French horror flicks, though I wish the last bit of High Tension wasn't so "meh". Has anyone seen Grace? I've been looking at checking it out.

Guest kingbuzzo
Anyone else excited for this? I'm in the middle on this. I think the trailers look cheesy but the story seems interesting. The thing is, Scorsese has always wanted to make a horror-thriller movie it seems and his two attempts (Cape Fear and Bringing Out The Dead) are just kind of "Eh..." in my opinion. silentgods
see, i wouldn't even call bringing out the dead even remotely a horror film, its more of a character study/a dudes battles with madness.

Guest kingbuzzo
see, i wouldn't even call bringing out the dead even remotely a horror film, its more of a character study/a dudes battles with madness. That's why I added the "thriller" at the end. It boils down to him wanting to make a "genre" film and I just don't think that works for him. He should stick with dramas.
