thedavidescapeplan
The encore for tonight's show was incredible. He covered Nazi Punks Fuck Off, Merchandise and Angelfuck with Patrick from Titus Andronicus singing. INFUCKINGCREDIBLE!

john
Show was pretty good, I wish he would have mixed it up a bit more, it was 90% shake the sheets and brutalist bricks
desensitizedbyu
wish he would have mixed it up a bit more This. That first band was awful.
john
wish he would have mixed it up a bit more This. That first band was awful. They were talented at least. I could see them playing at some sort of ribs festival. I didn't understand why that guitar player was wearing a windbreaker with the hood up. He looked like he was trying to make weight or something
jeff
i know this probably isn't a very good first post, but i'd be willing to pay if someone could pick up shake the sheets and tyranny for me. i had to miss the chicago show because of a visit from my family. thanks. Instrumentally I guess you could say they had talent, yea. I didn't get the windbreaker thing either. I guess I just didn't like them because every member of the band asked me for weed. scottheisel
Dang, he didn't have Shake The Sheets vinyl for sale in Cleveland! I'll trade a copy of Tyranny Of Distance for a copy of STS straight up. Get at me.
miso
My quick story about Ted Leo: I saw him back in 2002(?) with Piebald, Koufax and The Scaries at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, NC. He scared me. I never saw another show with him again. The end.

miso
TL scared you, but you were just fine with the malnourished wanker that screeches vocals for Piebald? I wasn't there for Piebald in the first place, my friend was. I (ashamedly) was there for The Scaries.

Guest
The show last night was totally awesome and I had a blast. As far as merch goes, they may have sold all the other albums or something, because they only had the new one available.
pjaicomo
wish he would have mixed it up a bit more This. That first band was awful. I thought the first band was great. I didn't care for Title Tracks at all. Sidenote: My copy of Shake the Sheets' download card gave me a download for Tyranny of Distance. Weird. scottheisel
Wait, your copy had a DL card in it? That makes me think this is a repress. Lookout never did DL cards before...
casey
http://www.avclub.com/articles/tears-for-fears-everybody-wants-to-rule-the-world,38869/ Teddy covers "Everybody Wants to Rule the World."

Shake the Sheets had a DL card. The Tyranny of Distance did not (although the card in STS was for TTOD)
joehill
on Friday in NYC, he was selling Tyranny of Distance, Hearts of Oak, and Shake the Sheets all for $10 each. Anyone know what the deal is? Did he just have boxes of them laying around, or did Lookout somehow reissue them? the weird thing was that all 3 had the same sticker on them for a digital download, despite being released several years apart. (and I wonder if they were doing that back when Tyranny came out?)
