TFP
Hey, I just heard on the radio that the USPS will cancel Saturday delivery on October 1. What do you guys think of this? I would prefer to still receive on Sat, but I guess they will save a bunch. edit-I believe the newscaster said they would save $3 Billion (!) jimmythescumbag
Kinda sucks, but if it means postage will remain fairly constant, I am down for it. Edit: What a shitty birthday present USPS...

Duff
the bad thing is postage rates will most likely continue to rise even though they are cutting a day of delivery. and it definitely won't make up for their crappy service.

oakland
I'm all about saving money, but the sad part is you just KNOW some slimy congressman has already figured out another way to spend that money on something retarded. So we've given up a service and received no real savings in return. I wish we had a president who just didn't give a fuck about getting reelected and was like "I'm going to cut, cut, cut spending everywhere I can and no one is going to do shit about it." He wouldn't get to be president next time, but how dope would that be. "Bye bye bitches, I just saved you 7 trillion dollars."

"Bye bye bitches, I just saved you 7 trillion dollars." the post office is a seperate entity from the US gov homeboy... the money they save will just stay within the post office. Its a weird set up. Apparently the company most effected by this is going to be Netflix.

Duff
another weird setup with the post office and US government. at one point the Post Master General was in the chain of command for the presidency, i think it was like 7th in line. even with removing the Post Master General from the chain, looking at some of the positions still in the chain is mind boggling.
