aviolentworld
whats the best way to store records when going on tour in the summer months? its not. actually what are you going on tour in? can you leave them at someones house while you are in a city? if you are worried about driving with them i dont think it would be an issue if you have air going and not directly in the sunlight. jemsklile
We kept our vinyl in their boxes, in a tub, in our trailer and that seemed t work out fine. We were travrlng in late July in the south/ southwest too. I was worried about what to do as well though.
Dillhole
I'd say just make sure there upright and snug and not lying down or at a angle. They should be fine, and yea keep them out of the sun.
bruiser873
if you need to park, make sure it's in a shady spot to avoid all that heat........
cactusbot
Bigmanandy is right. Keep them out of direct sunlight. Make sure they are packed tight and upright.
retrospectacle
I sometimes go record shopping on my lunch break and have to leave the records in the car until I get home. I always put the records in the trunk where it's nice and dark - it gets warm in there but nowhere near as hot as it gets inside the car. The other day it was sunny and 90+ degrees outside, I had three records in the trunk for six hours and they were fine when I got home. jcamps
I hate the sun for warping my wolf eyes 7", I left it in my backseat overnight and woke up sometime in the aafternoon to its melted remains.
thealex
Keep the van out of the sun, and the records will be fine. I've done it a bunch of times with no fails.

justlikekevin
bands have been storing records in their trailer on tour for many years and Ive never purchased a warped record from a band before. Seems like as long as theyre out of direct sun you shouldnt have any problems.
