athomewithkyle
So today I bought The Good Life - Heartbroke 7" and when I was opening up I saw the back and in the bottom left hand corner it was numbered #999/1000. I just thought it was cool having the 999th one. Does anyone get more excited when they receive the first #'d record or the last #'d? adambomb
I'm a huge nerd who collected records that were #d 3 out of however many made. I actually had about 25-30 #3s at one time

adambomb
I got most of them from trading. A few random preorders, and I had a few friends keeping an eye out for me.

athomewithkyle
Yea I have never gotten the first or the last one. But I thought 999/1000 was cool enough.
applesandgrits
I have #478 of The Good Life EP. I thought it was pretty cool that they threw in pins and a handwritten note because it was late. It'll definitely help if I'm ever on the fence about buying another SaddleCreek record. Do labels typically sell records out of order when they're hand numbered? Because they're still selling the 7'' even though Kyle got
steventangent
Yeah, I've bought a few hand numbered 7" and gotten random numbers.

But I believe they randomly send them out to people/stores.

kyle
My best is my copy of the Chuck Ragan 7" sent out with "Los Feliz" pre-orders from Side One Dummy. #13/600. I ordered the day it was announced, so I'm pretty sure they sent them out in the order they were ordered.

Thats pretty rad, regardless of format. Normally I'd assume #1/XXX to be given to a friend/relative of the artist or something like that.
