mdb
I'd think RJ's sales numbers would prove to Columbia how little the rights are worth. I mean, the first 500 went insanely fast for both releases, but he still hasn't sold 1,000 copies of In Motion. So wouldn't that show Columbia that demand disappears somewhere between 500 and 1,000? C'mon Columbia, sign it over
cactusbot
Your definition of worth is much different than Columbia's.
mdb
Your definition of worth is much different than Columbia's. I'm just saying a petition shouldn't fool Columbia into thinking there's crazy high demand for a Copeland record when they can look at AFS's sales figures and see that it'll take awhile just to sell 1,000. I guess I'm just agreeing that a petition is worthless, especially when there are actual numbers to look at if the label even remotely cares about the level of demand. somethingvinyl
It should be noted that petitions are great at getting communities to sponsor a pee-wee football teams or getting a class added into curriculum at the local high school. But to my knowledge, a petition has never got an album pressed to vinyl.
