xadamhudsonx
I picked up a copy of this used in San Francisco last weekend. It had a sticker on the sleeve that said limited red/black vinyl. When i opened it it was clear red with black splatter. (It also has the cover that opens in the middle, has a heavyweight inner sleeve and then a paper sleeve within that). Based on the pressing info I found on Second Nature's website, I scored a pretty rare copy. However, I'm thinking it's more likely that the pressing info isn't complete. Any help? monsterrod
Here's what Deadformat has. The pictures tend to help me narrow things down sometimes. http://www.deadformat.net/press/

The vinyl looks just like the Red w/ black splatter from the 10 year pressing, except the cover isn't white and isn't a standard sleeve. ihprstl
Can you upload a pic of it? I have most of these variants, but I don't have 86 White/Black/Translucent Red Splatter. They didn't get shipped to Second Nature and I've never even seen one. I haven't looked in quite a while though.
jhulud
So it's not this one... It may have been a case that someone swapped out the jackets.
xadamhudsonx
So it's not this one... It may have been a case that someone swapped out the jackets. The vinyl color is the same, but the sleeve isn't white. I'll take some pics and post them when I get back to the hotel. Thanks for the help and info guys. It's much appreciated! oakland
It is just insane how many versions there are of some records. It really calls into question the true value of such things. Then again I don't really sell records or care if other people do, so it doesn't matter. Just a curious thing to me.
xadamhudsonx
So here are some shitty cellphone pics of what I picked up: center open outter sleeve red inner sleeve and white paper sleeve
jhulud
That looks to be the 3rd press 86 White/Black/Translucent Red Splatter
xadamhudsonx
That looks to be the 3rd press 86 White/Black/Translucent Red Splatter That's what my assumption was... but found it kind of unlikely that I'd find a copy out of 86 sitting on the shelf at Ameoba. Thanks for the help friends. Much appreciated.

ihprstl
Very cool! I think the story was these two variants, 80 Translucent Blue/Translucent Green Splatter, 86 White/Black/Translucent Red Splatter were mislabeled at the pressing plant and Second Nature never new where they went and they ended up at random places. mcpherson123
I will NEVER try to complete my ISIS vinyl collection including all variants. That would just be stupid.

mcpherson123
Haha. I didn't mean any offense. What I actually meant was that it would be stupid for me personally to attempt it considering I just got into this band last May. Given that, it would cost me easily a small fortune to even attempt to complete it. Yet I still have 12 copies of Oceanic. Some doubles that I would like to unload if anyone is interested. Sorry, j, no extra Seaweed however.
