david
Maybe there was a thread about this already, and maybe there wasn't. Regardless I just saw this and thought it was very neat. http://kellianderson.com/blog/2011/04/a-paper-record-player/ Flexis pressed at Pirates Press. hudsoncomplex
My wife and I made a double gatefold invitation, with the reply card in the shape of a record....this really blows ours out of the water. wow....so cool!
theinkd
how can you possibly keep 45rpm constant by manually spinning it?
lonesomexloveus
as a wedding photog AND record collector, i can safely say that this is the coolest wedding invitation i've ever seen.

almightyseancore
how can you possibly keep 45rpm constant by manually spinning it? you can't. thats why it sounded like a constipated chipmunk. still a neat idea, tho. i wonder if the record can be removed and played properly on a turntable. serum7
Watch the video. i did. still didnt explain anything. all i saw was a piece of paper folded over.. and then music played. Check out the one photo of the paper folded and there's a little needle coming out of the orange spot. Looks like the sound gets amplified enough in that folded spot so that you can hear it. serum7
i wonder if the record can be removed and played properly on a turntable. Yep. From the description on the blog: "can be experienced on the paper record player, unscrewed + set on a regular turntable"
thieves
my wife and I recorded and released a 7" as the favor each person at the reception got. we danced to the a-side (a cover) and played the b-side on our wedding band's gear
mcpherson123
I don't know where you guys are all getting these kick-ass chics to marry but I'm jealous as fuck.
lonesomexloveus
i plan on doing something along these lines for my wedding invites. all money spent on the cake, invites, and photography. the reception will probably be in a firehall or something, ahahaha. mutinyzine
I think I've seen something similar in a thread a while ago. Anyway, this looks really cool, even though it sounds like crap
