Help with Large Collection

Hi All,

This is my first time on a record forum. My stepfather passed away a few months ago. He was in the jukebox business all his life (last 20 years restoring old ones). Anyways, he has thousands of vinyl records and before he died he said that he wanted to sell his collection (almost one by one - to those who would appreciate them). I have started the process of cataloging and even started putting some for sale on the webstore... lots of views, but no offers yet. Would this be a good forum for me to sell some of the records and get help on ones that I can't find any info on? I look forward to your comments.

Thanks - Pamela

Hey Pamela,

First off, so sorry for your loss.

This site is great if you want to sell off some records for sure, I'd check out popsike.com or ebay's completed listing section to figure out reasonable prices for your LP's. Also I'd pick up a Goldmine Record Price Guide as well, you can usually find them at Barnes & Noble or other big book stores. Good luck!

Also, please be sure to list the condition of each record. Use Goldmine standards when grading the records. This is especially important if you aren't going to include a picture of each record. You can check eBay and Discogs for an idea what your records are worth. Don't let people make offers until you know the value.
