monk0nuggets
I can't wait to go back in for more line work on my sleeve on Friday. Stoked!
desensitizedbyu
I've never gotten a tattoo so this is probably a dumb question, but do you pay per sitting or do you pay for it all together up front?
monk0nuggets
A lot of places are different, but the shop I go to charges by the hour. I go when I have the cash for a few hours.
desensitizedbyu
That's cool. I bet the artist takes their time huh?
monk0nuggets
haha, you'd think, but honestly mine doesn't. She is pretty speedy for all the detail she has put into my work.
desensitizedbyu
I want one really bad, so I was wondering. Thanks man.
thomas
I have wanted one for years now, but no matter how much I brain storm I can't think of what I want so I will probably never get one.
monk0nuggets
No prob! Thomas, I think it's just one of those things that you will almost never be 100% on. You just have to be ok with the fact that no matter what you get, it will be there forever. You may change your mind about it in the future, so you've gotta be ok with that fact. thomas
For a while I did think about a half sleeve with my family history, but I could never figure anything out for my dad's side. My mom's side is easy since her maiden name translates as "killer with a gun" in Italian.
monk0nuggets
Whoa! That is a pretty sick maiden name. haha
thomas
Whoa! That is a pretty sick maiden name. haha Yeah, supposedly when guns were first brought to that area of europe my great great (however many greats) grandfather assassinated some big political figure. I'm not sure if that is the true origin, or just a story my grandfather told me when I was little.
Guest genericinsight
I'm getting a new tattoo in about two weeks. First new one I've gotten in two years, I've been aching to get new ink again. I'm going to the same dude that did the infamous Golden Girls as Mount Rushmore tattoo. hah
counterfiction
I've never gotten a tattoo so this is probably a dumb question, but do you pay per sitting or do you pay for it all together up front? Generally for a regular piece (not a sleeve or back piece) they will quote you a price but it all depends on the tattoo. most artists charge by the hour and the going rate is about $100/hr right now.
