lungfutang
Found this at a local record shop and was gonna pick it up, but have read multiple reviews online about the pressing, saying it sounds horrible and entirely droned out. Can anyone who owns this verify? Don't want to waste my money on a super shitty release of a good album. Thanks,
afireinside7444
I dunno got a copy for like 11.00 on ebay from a seller I was ordering afew things from Havent opened it yet
circlingvultures
The cd version is very low compared to every other cd I own. In my car I play it at least 10 notches higher then everything else and that's just for normal listening
thomasj182
I had one a few years back but lost it moving and yes, it sounded like shit. I had to screw with the bass, treb, volume and out/in puts all the time when I wanted to spin it. Cool to own but musically not worth it. I've wanted to pick up a new one but I really can't see dropping more than 10 bucks on it.
hipfunkrock34
I bought a new copy from Hot Topic a year or two ago and it sounded fine to me
stevemcqueen
I have one, it definitely doesn't sound great. As someone said above, I have to mess with the bass and treble to get it sounding anywhere near okay. Luckily I got it for free, as a former roommate bought it to play on my turntable and said I could have it when he moved out.
habbazoot
My brother got one and says it just doesn't sound that good. Could be because there's an hour of music on one disc.
lungfutang
many thanks for all the responses. i didn't want to waste $20 on an lp that had shitty quality. such a good album and yet you would think someone would sample the test pressings (if they even made any) to verify how it sounded. oh well. guess i'll juss stick to the digial version i got. thanks guys,
circlingvultures
I have the cd that I got when it came out. Has the error on the top of the cd with the type. I would like it on vinyl but until they remaster it I will avoid all current pressings. Unless I find it for like $5 new.
darrvison
igot a copy off ebay real cheap sealed and yeh if you listen to most hip hop records that sound great it sounds really tinny and shit. i love wu tang but this sucks i'd love a copy on 180g but that would rule! mcpherson123
I bought a new copy from Hot Topic a year or two ago and it sounded fine to me I believe the OP was referring to the OP.... Anyone here nerdy enough to see what I did there?
jryall
I was just playing this record last night and yes, I noticed sound quality getting kinda shitty when the needle was approaching the last tracks on both sides. Another case of too much music crammed into one single LP.

It doesn't need to be 180g, just a 2xLP. My local store has a copy of Digital Underground's "Sex Packets" on vinyl but I'm wary to buy it because it's a single LP. There's another album that needs to be repressed as a double album.
benzo
this has been put out on 180g through Simply Vinyl. also, don't hold your breath for a proper remaster. the original masters were destroyed years ago so unless it's a digitally-sourced remaster....no dice.
