kurtz
I didn't know Guns Up was big enough to warrant a festival reunion 1 year after breaking up. They were an okay band, but a reunion already? Still, I wish I could go to this fest. Solid lineup.
matt
there was something like 1200-1500 kids at their last show. pretty big in terms of recent hardcore bands. they did a semi reunion at the fest last year with everyone but the singer playing 2 songs. pat from have heart did vocals on one and the singer from rise and fall for the other. the place went apeshit with one dude jumping off the 25 foot balcony. timwt
The dude from 1917 puts on Sound and Fury (or he has a lot to do with it) and he's good friends with Guns Up (obviously) and asked them to play.
riddle350
look pretty similar to Rain Fest.

kurtz
Yeah, the only time I saw Guns Up play is when they were opening for Verse and Have Heart on that tour shortly before they broke up. They got a good response for an opening band, but nothing amazing. I never would have guessed that they could draw that many people for their "last" show. Guest scriptedrain
End of a Year and Guns Up! are actually the only bands I recognize from this.

cooltobeyou
Guns Up! was HUGE in New England. awesome band, sucks their doing a reunion on the opposite coast. last show was insane. most heads ive ever seen at a show(wouldnt doubt alot were there just to be there/cop merch)
matt
(wouldnt doubt alot were there just to be there/cop merch) you just summed up the majority of folks at hardcore shows.
adammuzzy
i really want to go to this, my friend and I are considering making the trek from western massachusetts. figure we should do something cool the last summer before college. s&f always breeds crucial merch too. matt
s&f always breeds crucial merch too. you have no idea how sad and true that is. last year the merch was spread out into two rooms and hundreds of people would stay in line for the most limited records/shirts for close to an hour while other bands were playing. the merch dude from have heart tried to tell people he wouldnt sell merch while other bands were playing so they would go watch them but much to his dismay they just stood and waited for a half hour till the set ended. total retardation. adammuzzy
there's bands on there you know wouldn't even bother with ltd. records, like have heart or end of a year. the shirts on the other hand....
