tankerdesk Posted January 3, 2013 Share Posted January 3, 2013 I've been using 1/3 isopropyl alcohol, 2/3 distilled water, and a squirt of windex mixed in a clean spray bottle. I spray the mix directly onto a lint-free cloth and wipe the record clean. Been using this method for four years. Works great for me. bobfrombob Posted January 3, 2013 Share Posted January 3, 2013 Nor do I wanna be the guy that argues with that guy but I've always assumed if you dry and/or rinse at the end, there is so little of anything left behind on the record that it can't be that big of a deal. Saying as how I'm not a chemist, and haven't taken a chemistry class in 10 years, I googled it. My wife was using the iPad tonight and was like, "why did you google hydrochloric acid? Are you going to kill me?"
