ajxd
When I got my first full carbon bike, my cycling buds called me Carbon Boy. Luckily that nickname didn't stick.
timbrh2001
Carbon boy is a pretty cool name. I wish people would call me that. Or t-bone I like "Carbon Man" better. At 31 years old, I think I am at least due consideration for a name upgrade? What do you guys think? Kind of sounds like a superhero name (or maybe villan in this case?). timbrh2001
multiplication man fits you better. That's pure evil. Calculators running the world, people rendered as slaves, its up to Multiplication Man to help break the human race free of this oppression by teaching them simple multiplication tables. I like it. timbrh2001
i saw the entitlement comment, went back to see what he possibly could have been talking about, and knew shit was gonna get silly up in here. Did you read into anything I said and conclude that I had some kind of entitlement issue? I'm just really confused where that idea came from? I thought I was being logical and pretty straightforward with my thoughts and suggestions concerning the raffle? I mean, all he really had to say was "no, I'd like to keep it at 40 entries" and I would have said "fair enough". He's not forced to do a raffle at 33 tickets, just as I'm not forced to throw in my $20 if I don't agree with the rules of the raffle. I just figured 33 tickets would have made the most sense since he said he was looking to sell it for $660 to begin with and it would raise everyone else's odds of winning. OP gets what he wants, the raffle goers get what they want. Why at all should anyone get pissy over this? Dumbfounded. trevorxramage
steviex2shoes
I also don't understand why all the sudden he calls off the raffle because of what you're saying? What you're saying does make sense, but at the same time like you said if he wanted to sell 40 tickets and make an extra $140 that's his prerogative. Then that's up to us to decide if we want to participate in a raffle. I'd still be into it if it was 40. What I lose $20? If I win I get a $700 record player? Either way it sounds alright to me no worse than going and getting $20 in lottery tickets and winning nothing or going to the casino and losing $20 on slot machines. Put the raffle back on. trevorxramage
trevorxramage
Definitely seems strange to just pull the raffle over what one guy had every right to say.

Either way it sounds alright to me no worse than going and getting $20 in lottery tickets and winning nothing or going to the casino and losing $20 on slot machines. Put the raffle back on. Exactly. I wasn't criticizing him for thinking of doing 40 tickets, I was simply asking him if he would consider 33 tickets for the logical reasons I stated. Plus, it was taking forever for him to get back to everyone so who really had any idea what he was thinking of doing anyways? This is so stupid I'm about done with even trying to think about this called-off raffle anymore. It's not like I'd participate anyways if the raffle was to suddenly re-appear because I'd have some doubts my name would even enter the hat to begin with at this point. So that being said, OP if you want to re-think starting the raffle with your original 40 tickets, looks like you've still got some interest from others. I've said about all I've got to say in this thread and I'll stay out of this thread from here on out. Please, reconsider starting up the raffle again for the sake of those who did not offend you and don't let your thoughts on one person rain on the parade of everyone else. Again, sorry to all who were interested in this raffle whom I may have screwed over by my posts.
bearchuck
I'm just going to save my $20 and put it toward upgrading my Crosley to an Ion. Or Maybe a Neumark. So many choices. bluedeni, seangj and ajxd
