Pink Mexico is preparing the release of their debut album, Pnik Mxeico, due out December 17th on cassette via Fleeting Youth Records.

Pink Mexico is the moniker of singer/multi-instrumentalist Robert Preston Collum (now a trio with Johnny Chambers on guitar/bass and Tony Tornay on drums) who decided to break free from his various music collaborations to individually capture the sound he's wanted to achieve since the beginning.

Pnik Mxeico sports a warm, confident, melodic, and fuzz-laden vibe reminiscent of The Dandy Warhols meeting Ty Segall, and Nirvana's quieter moments. The highly infectious album is meant to be heard from start to finish rather than taking it in parts. It's quick, well sequenced, and better heard that way; however, the stand alone singles are just as rewarding. Paperclip ToothpickSeabird, and A Head Full of Slime are all bristled in walls of fuzz-fucked guitars and reverberated melodies, but each song has a different component that shows Collum's equal love for grunge, garage rock, pop, and psychedelic music.

Ryan (owner) is scared of pressing vinyl.... He cries about it a lot. ;)

Hahaha. So scared, but it's inevitable.

Vinyl releases will be coming soon on the label. We're just not quite ready for it yet for various reasons (one main reason is that I'm waiting to see what happens with my job contract that ends in March).

I need to search this site for some recommendations on good pressing places (looking for 7" or 10" first).

Glad you all dug the release, though! Thanks for listening.

I'm sorry to go on and on and triple post and shit, but I Facebook'd one of the bands on the label about buying a tape and he responded very nicely about sending me one. God damn. Best small label I've seen in a long time.

Yup I've got my eyes on this label in particular. Lots of gems

If anyone's interested, and since this thread kind of became a label general, Fleeting Youth put up another tape for pre-order:

Habits - Unselves In Arrival

5 bucks plus shipping makes $8.

Never heard of them and only one track is up, but it sounds great and if it's anything like the other releases it should be worth it. I ordered immediately.

Just got some of their tapes in the mail today, all a different color, they're beautiful. I like that this tape label doesn't seal the tapes shut with a sticker I have to peel off that leaves a residue, bugh. Sounds minor but some labels do this and it drives someone like me up the wall.
