You are 100% right...It's not really a personal greivance and I didn't expect him to be a VC member and reply to this thread. I just found it funny that he chose to do so and in those words after what he told me.... I have no problem with his practices and I respect that he was open about them with me. I deleted the post and won't comment again on what was said again. Well $45 is at least better than $60. I know it's been going for $30-50 and I'm not trying to pay $16 for it, although I would love to. I was just excited that it was a VC user that snagged that deal...$25 was the next best price I saw and I'm willing to pay more than that. Thanks for the tip!

The turquoise one is pretty and easiest to get. The picture disc (comes in ugly plastic case) and purple one will be more expensive to get. The blue one is the Euro version and will probably be the most expensive to get with the exception of the deluxe box color that is already sold out. My advice, get turquoise! You should have picked up a signed purple one at the show!!!

It is my view that people that pay those prices are very well off, have access to a parent's credit card, crazy, or just ignorant (as seen when people buy stuff at inflated prices while it is still for sale at reasonable prices). Yes, sometimes people pay more for records they really want but it's the degree of how much more some pay that is crazy. This pretty much sums it up. Patience and effort are the keys to reasonably securing records you want - not going crazy on eBay where people are openly trying to rip you off quite often.

If you are rich, a couple hundred bucks for an album may not be all that much. Rich people buy crazy things and spend crazy amounts of money on things. Coheed is my favorite band but I could never justify spending over $500 on IKSSE3 unless I was a millionaire many times over. There are too many other great records out there that you can buy for $10-30. The people that do pay the crazy prices continue to push up record prices to levels that seem a "bit crazy" and they will only get higher...which is why some of these prices seem normal to you now. I hope this explanation helped you understand the thread.
