  1. Tried to find a thread on this topic but couldn't find one. What do you guys think? Nice to look at or does it lessen the quality of the sound? Found this interesting in regards to the kinds of colors out there. (Surface noise 1= quietest / 9 = noisiest) 1. Standard Black 2. Recycled Black (most people do not hear a difference between 1 and 2) 3. Transparent Colors (Blue, Green, Clear, Gold [orange], Transparent Red, Coke Clear, Fluorescent Colors) 4. Non-Mixed Opaque Colors (Pink, Red, Yellow, Violet, Brown) 5. White 6. Opaque Mix (Mixing opaque and translucent color(s) in particular; and also tend to have visible “staining” after a few hundred records, which can be seen in certain light). 7. Random Color 8. Split Color / Splatter Color / other hand-made colors 9. Glow In The Dark
  2. I know the deluxe version is the one at Target with two bonus tracks
  3. Bought from snowwhat a few days ago, great communication and packaging. Very fast to boot
  4. I like it. It's always nice to actually like the music after you've preordered it. Had a few where I ordered too soon, then had to cancel
  5. Oh shoot... http://hiphop-n-more.com/2013/03/justin-timberlake-to-release-the-2020-experience-2-in-november/
  6. Got em both myself, even the singers solo album, Memory on clear vinyl. Different but I like it, vaguely about his divorce in the pat year.
  7. That looks awesome, mine shipped yesterday so it'll hopefully get here by Tuesday
  8. Exactly. The variety in records is cool and all but I'd want other people to have the opportunity to listen to the music
  9. I agree with some records being too idolized much like Rumours. I also think even if it was reissued, don't make it a huge box set or even an anniversary edition. If its already in large quantities, just make a few new. This resurgence reminds me of beanie babies or furbies, only in the sense that they both are a popular trend. But unlike stuffed toys, records will still remain a valid hobby and popular medium for music. I think records are nearing their peak craze levels but I also think it'll even out. This is coming from a person who started collecting last July. I'm a fanatic for sure but I think I've always liked vinyl, just never had a player to facilitate my love for music.
  10. Couldn't find it digitally but NPR has a cool story about it. They're the same songs but alternate takes. I also heard they might be talking on the tracks, like when they'd have a false start. Here's the link http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=99805408 1.Freddie Freeloader session 2.So what session Side Two 1.Blue in Green session 2.All Blues session.
  11. Hmm not sure, I would hope so though. Haven't seen a track list yet. I'm looking forward to the two 10"s and The Kinda Blue sessions.
  12. I'm afraid it is too. In my top three to get. If I can secure a copy through Strictly, when I go out for RSD I'll look out for a copy for you if you can't find it.
  13. Reserved 10 records on Strictly Discs, hope to get a few out of that. Good RSD for jazz stuff even though the three I really want are /200. Gonna be tough to get those.
  14. Gosh, if they ever came out with the soundtrack to that movie I'd pick it up so quick
  15. Oh awesome! I bet reels would be awesome to listen to. I have the 3-3 from the last RSD mainly for the reason it was Brubeck but now I play it a lot, I like the color choices like blue or red. Orange should be a nice change, especially for Cal
  16. Boooo! Never mind that then lol Thanks for the info
  17. Definitely! Some records are only 5 or 6 songs anyway and they'd fit perfectly on the 10"s. Wish there were more reissues, this RSD is already doing two I'm happy with.
  18. Link I found where the LP is $13.98 http://www.ccmusic.com/music/vinyl/2571284/phoenix-bankrupt
  19. The Dave Brubeck Trio is one of my favorites, anything from him really, Octet/Quartet/etc. And I like Stan Getz, probably most famous for bringing samba to the masses with help from Brazilian singer João Gilberto and guitarist Charlie Byrd.
