  1. There isn't much recognition for jazz these days on VC or even in popular culture for that matter. Probably because jazz saw a creative and popularity shift downward in the 1980's. But some of the best music that ever existed was played in the genre of jazz. Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington made jazz acceptable for the masses, while the likes of Miles Davis and John Coltrane took it to unforeseen heights. Jazz has as many sub-genres as rock and roll, and without jazz, well, we wouldn't get to enjoy a lot of the music we love today if those blue notes had not been played. Post your recent
  2. Hi. I'm in need of some quick cash. I sold some stuff from my collection just over a year ago when I needed a new car and when I got enough cash, I stopped the sale because I like my records. It'll be the same thing this time. I don't need a whole lot, so this might not last long. About me: I've been buying records since 1998 and selling online since 2006. I know how to ship a record and have plenty of mailers. But please make orders at least $20. Any questions, send me a message. I'm more than fair but will expect offers to be "in the ballpark" of their current going rate. Test Pr
  3. Haven't heard anything off this new album, but I'm betting it will be good. His last album showed how much promise this artist has and his performance opening for Temple of the Dog completely blew me away. For now, it's a Pledgemusic PO. Here's some songs from his last album. This one reminds me of a Prince song. Preorder: https://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/fantasticnegrito
  4. Not sure if any of you know who Brock Davisson is, but he's an amazing blues guitarist who just happens to be confined to a wheelchair as a result of club foot and dwarfism. He's got a lot of videos on YouTube and stuff....that's how most find out about him. This dude shreds though, and his album from 2015 is finally coming to vinyl! 75% of all profits will be donated to MusiCares. https://qrates.com/artists/SofaKingVinyl/items/14561

  14. I own the Castle reissue & don't need to purchase this but I think it's pretty damn good & figured I'd post it here whether most VCers are into it or not. Anyways, Lee Moses' Time & Place LP reissue. Limited to 300 red & gold & a standard black vinyl: http://lightintheattic.net/releases/2534-time-and-place The 2007 Castle version of this was a double LP & includes songs from every 45 he's released as well. Unfortunately this LITA reissue is just the original LP. His best songs are on this LP though IMO. His covers of Hey Joe & California Dreaming are

I've loved SRV since I was a kid, but have never bought any vinyl because every time i come across any copies, they are beat to shit. This is pretty pricey, but I would have a bulk of what I want on vinyl (minus some live sets), and I've seen some glowing reviews of this pressing (both speeds). 33prm 6lp - $280 http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/72284/Stevie_Ray_Vaughan-Texas_Hurricane-Vinyl_Box_Sets 45rpm 12lp - $400 http://store.acousticsounds.com/d/72286/Stevie_Ray_Vaughan-Texas_Hurricane-Vinyl_Box
