Worst parts about going to shows
xlynwoodx replied to mattramone's topic in Everything Else Message Board
Am I the only one who has figured out how to avoid the idiots who mosh into the crowd? It's pretty easy to see who acts like that, and not stand near them while bands are playing. The number of people complaining about standing near a pit and getting hit is crazy. I've been going to shows for quite a number of years, and I never get hit. I don't get it. -
what band have you seen live the most?
xlynwoodx replied to ericheartsu's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I've seen Bane probably about 15 times by now. I'll still see them any time they come near. Down To Nothing is catching up though, simply because I'm so close to Richmond. It's got to be 7-8 times now. -

I must go to the wrong shows, kids don't do the kung fu shit anymore.

It was a great performance that was ruined by a bunch of fuckers hardcore dancing. Because hardcore dancing at a hardcore show is...wrong?

people that ship records overseas
xlynwoodx replied to Snaggle Von Swift's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I guess its because I work right by the post office, but those new machines they have are a godsend. I'll just walk in, weigh it or get a shipping price, and then leave. There is usually no wait and if you're going by there anyway, its the best. -

I'm actually reading this right now and am really into it. I've never read Bukowski before. One of the best books I've ever read that no one talks about it is A Prayer For Owen Meany by John Irving. It's pretty long but such a good book. The movie Simon Birch is based on it and both Lawgwagon & Jimmy Eat World have written songs about it.

Old Drive Thru roster apreesh
xlynwoodx replied to 311thrice's topic in Everything Else Message Board
I remember the first Playing 4 Square cd had Drive-Thru on it. First time I heard New Found Glory was playing the comp in my car. I loved the whole thing, but the Drive-Thru portion was always my favorite. I need to break this shit out. -
Considering they're attendance, I'm surprised they're not giving tickets away.
